it's opposite actually, he is the worst because you need to keep him in focus, but you know? We talking about Skul: The Hero Slayer, a game, where there is constant chaos on a screen and most of time you can't see A SHIT!!!. And Skul - the smollest of bosses, that doesn't help at all!! I really hate to fight that thing on high level of difficulty, it's just frustrating, to build some awesome fan set of item and be crushed at Him anyway...

Without getting hit? That's probably a no. But I've done some stupid challenges over the years.

It's why Ghoul is an S tier skull after his changes. They didn't need to do much to make him an entire warehouse full of beef

It should still be the boy. But it's most likely a cloned version of him similar to the Dark Heroes we see. The Dark Mirror worlds are, by the looks of it, artificial pocket dimensions where experiments were conducted. Similar to the Act 3 lab in the normal game. Even though the Emperor is found within the Dark Mirror it's still implied he's the one true emperor, not a clone. We were told by the Ghost figure that the Dark Mirror was designed to test him along with the Dark Dad fight. Technically he might be telling the truth. But rather than it being designed to test us, it was being made to test Dark Skul. It's the only reason I can think of as to why they artificially made a copy of the real world, including boss fights and improved enemies that would gradually get stronger. It's like a training simulation. But Dark Skul was unstable and couldn't be controlled. So they locked him away. Now all of this is extreme speculation based on the little info we were given in game. But to me it at least makes sense. Given how Dark Skul has access to a giant club as well as various forms he can switch between I'd say they began this cloning and experimentation process after he had already beaten the Golden Hero in the normal world. They pulled a Metal Sonic more or less. That's why they had combat data on how Skul likes to fight (throwing his head etc).

But the Ent video showcases how you can, with dumb RNG and practice, pull off absurd power for real.

Yo! Believe it or not a LOT of skulls used to be hybrid but the devs have tried to streamline many of them. These days most have damage splits similar to what you described. Where basic attacks and specials have different types. I made a video where I go into more detail about the average run as well as some tips along the way. The video is a year old so there are some things that aren't quite the same (some items effects were adjusted etc) but the core examples and mentality of runs is the same: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-daqx6bdTjxc.html You can do it one of two ways. Either you base your build on what items you already have. Or you base the build around what kind of combat your skull does. So for example let's say you find a Thief skull and you want to use it. You currently have about 4 magical items and 1 physical. I'd say just focus on magic and spam those skills! Might be a good idea to get some skill cooldown boosts to really emphasize it. On the other hand you might have solid physical items so you decide to go with him for now, replacing him if you find a good physical skull, or just spam that basic attack all the way home. For the sake of simplicity the best builds you can do for consistency typically revolve around the main stats and their inscriptions. Physical and Magical damage boosts. So Courage and Wisdom, and then Arms and Artifact. Most items that come with these are good for their respective builds and will boost your base stats a lot. Be mindful that damage boosts come in two types: ''Increases X Damage by %'' and ''Amplifies X Damage by %'' Anything that just regularly increases your numbers like the Axe for example that gives you 50%, is additional. So if you had 500 physical damage and then pick up the axe, you now have 550. But if you got an effect that amplifies damage (Courage and Wisdom do this, and other inscriptions have amplifiers in them as well) it's a multiplier. So a 50% amp onto 500 is now 750. (you added 250 to 500). So having a strong base level of damage then pushing it further with amplifiers is a great way to get big damage. I also recommend a few good defensive items to keep you safe if you're concerned about being hit too much. Warrior's Pauldrons, Knight's Determination, Priests Staff and Dark Priest Robe are all very good. In particular pairing Knight's Determination with Priests Staff is a powerful combo. Knight's activates when you're below 30% hp. If reduces the damage you take. Priests Staff will slowly heal you while you're below 30% hp. So now you get hit for less and can recover a little bit as you go. A last stand type of deal.

No problem dude. The Hero fight is designed to be hard, so don't sweat it if it takes a few tries to get there. The game has a particular feel to it that takes a little getting used to. But once you do it's very smooth.

Big congrats! So the Mirror is technically Hard Mode but it's also crucial for finishing the story. Initially you won't have much (the traits you purchased from the Witch are still active, so don't worry). But as you beat runs and increase the difficulty you unlock more. It goes from 0-10. By the time you unlock all of the extra features ( 0-9 ) your mirror world will give you more perks than the normal one. Difficulty 10 unlocks a special cosmetic change for you. Don't feel too intimidated by ''Hard Mode'' either. The difficulty mostly ramps up from 3-4 and onwards. But you can finish all the story elements at 0. So there's never a real necessity to go higher unless you want to unlock more things to make yourself more powerful (or just for the challenge).

Looks like it yeah. So you'd need to stay on him and get a few lucky rolls with your skills to max the out.

For some reason this happens a lot more often than I'd care to admit. I'm not sure why but the shield being backwards just... happens. I'm pretty used to it now.

That's so weird. It has to be in the frames you WERE facing right when it appeared but in that exact frame you dashed left and the shield got its ankles broke basically! 🤣

Not much changes from Hard Mode 0 to 1. Most of the changes start from 4 onwards. So the recent Hard mode 0 Overexplained run is pretty much what you're after
