Romans 9:6-8 King James Version 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

@@its.okay.to.be.christian This does not mean Jews are sub-human!, Number 1. This is to tell them, as well as other verses, not just this, that you should not think you are set aside, you are guaranteed just because of that. You were chosen to fulfill a purpose, not chosen as in you get to make it, the others do not. In fact as far as God is concerned only those that do His will can be truly considered children of God. Are you doing His will with this? Do you think God likes for people to hate the Jews? I think Paul said it very well when he made that hole branch comparison (in Romans 11) with the natural branchs and crafted in branches where essentially he is saying: mind your business, worry about yourself - God will handle the Jews.

This actually affirms Dr Browns position. 1) Jesus says the Apostoles would sit on a throne in judgment over the 12 tribes of Israel (Matthew 19). This includes the 10 lost tribes that were already "lost" 700 years before Jesus said that 2) The 10 lost tribes have been "lost" for 2,700 years due to God's judgement (Hosea). Meanwhile Judah/Jews have been perserved in exile for 2000 years despite constant upheaval and persecution, and they have been regathered back to their land, which is unprecedented in history, and what many of the prophets predicted. This just goes to show that God has future promise/plans for Israel. if Gabriel's position is correct then there would be no reason for them to be perserved. They would be like the 10 lost tribes, lost and forgotten. Although I think within Judah you have remnants or the other tribes Plus Gabriel and no one has adequately explained Roman's 11. Gabriel said Jews are loved just like all humans are. Yet Paul specifically said they are "loved on account of the Patriarchs", despite rejecting/hating the Gospel. There is no glossing over or getting away from that verse no matter how many Church fathers he quotes

Clearly the Jews are the chosen of God. Chosen aa a people to represent God to the world, through obedience and blessing, or disobedience and suffering. Thats what they signed up to. They were also the prophets of God and the bearer of the Messiah. God's purpose and plan for the Jewish people has not changed. They will one day look upon the one they pierced and mourn. They will receive their Jewish Messiah into the whole world. To the Jew first, and then to the gentile. They have returned to their land, just as God promised. Jerusalem is their capital, just as God promised.

What does that mean though - are you talking about a bloodline here? Does God view you differently depending on your physical ancestry? Is Jesus a Jew? Who does His bloodline come from…. 🤔 The OT that was their role, but Jesus fulfilled all that and we’re in the NT now? Jesus came to earth to make us all one in Him, not keep us separate and divided. There is no Jew, no Greek no male no female… we are all one in Christ, remember? Romans 9 talks all about Israel being not about bloodline, so can you marry any of that with your ideology? Because it doesn’t make any sense to me.

The way I read the debate your opponent debated 'salvation' rather than 'service' and in the end totally confused both to be mutually inclusive. But the Lord Jesus never said the Jews are no longer chosen, rather they will never see him again until they say 'Baruch haba bashem Adonai' (blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord). I was totally disturbed by his interpretation of 1 Peter 2, especially verse 9, which specifically is addressed to the Jews of the day not gentiles!

Dr. Brown I am praying for the Lord to give you some clarity because I think your heart is in the right place but there's some confusion here. There are scriptures that have a meaning that can only be revealed by the Holy Spirit, which gives us the wisdom to understand them. In addition to that we are living in a time where people have little knowledge about the history of that region & people don't use the scripture to interpret the scripture. This has lead to a rise in all kinds of eschatological views that range from Christian Zionism to full on going Ancient Aliens with Genesis 6:4. There is a long history of people twisting the scriptures to turn a blind eye towards evil in their time. There is also a more recent history for the past 200 years with the church getting so caught up in end times & the second coming that we've dropped the ball on doing the work of the great commission to spread the gospel, take care of the needy as Christ commands us to do, and replaced this with looking at everything that occurs on the news & trying to read it into the Bible. The worst part is that we're frequently encouraged to turn a blind eye & even help in persecuting fellow brothers & sisters in Christ to make sure that Biblical prophecy unfolds the way we believe it will. People believe they can manufacturer a second coming by manipulating foreign policy, & that is not how this works. If there is anything Christians should take as a warning by looking at the mistakes made by the Pharisees is that sometimes prophecy unfolds in a way we didn't expect it to. Dr. Michael Heiser used to talk about this. Another important lesson from Abraham & Sarah is that when God says he will do something he will do it His way & in His time. When we decide that we need to make something happen to force his hand we only create problems for ourselves & others. There was a time when the Church was very active in Gaza, not just running hospitals & serving meals, but preaching to those who came for help. Many people were lead to the Lord. This type of outreach was eventually stopped as certain beliefs became popularized. The sad part is we have basically shunned the Muslim world because of certain beliefs around who "the chosen people are." I don't even want to get started on the indifference I'm seeing to the bloodshed in Gaza right now or the laws that have been changed to lock up people from the WB with no formal charges filed. They are even holding a young Christian girl in one of these detention facilities & I keep hearing Palestinian Christians ask why the global church doesn't care about them. I don't know if you are familiar with David Wood (Apologetics Roadshow YT channel) or the show he hosts with his friend on the Apostate Prophet YT channel, but there's a tremendous number of comments from ex-Muslims who have come to Christ listening to them. The reality is they are much more inclined to convert because even their religion teaches that Jesus is the Messiah, but they're not told why, or how since they're told he wasn't crucified. Once they hear the Gospel things start to click. On the other hand, I frequently hear Jewish content creators say that denying Jesus is the Christ is part of their very identity. My parents were Christian zionists and they would even donate to groups that purchase land in Israel for Jewish people. They fully supported the building of the 3rd temple & if I'm not mistaken they may have donated to the Temple institute. I don't know if my comment will post if I put a link to this article, but please look up an article in The American Conservative titled "An Anti-Christian Disgrace in Jerusalem." I know they had no awareness that they were donating to an organization that is attempting to push Christians out of Jerusalem. Many of us are tired of watching fellow believers being used. Why were they so easily deceived? Because they followed this doctrine which has mostly grown in the past 200 years in the West amongst Protestants. I follow various channels ranging from Protestants to Roman Catholics to Eastern Orthodox & I'm just being honest when I tell you the other two branches aren't obsessed with Israel or with people who identify as Jewish today. They use their energy & resources to care for people in need & use that as an opportunity to minister to people. Instead, we're following a newer theology which has resulted in little if any fruit to show for it except for a lot of speculation & division. Moreover, it has lead us into calling good evil and calling evil good. I'm seeing a lot of content uploaded by Jewish people and it's incredible how much they hate us. I realize you may think that acceptable because some wrong has been done in the past by people who are not alive today, but this is no different than when woke leftists claim every hardship faced by black Americans is the fault of slavery & the legacy of Jim Crow & redlining therefore white people should be forced to ______ fill in the blank. Nobody in the church accepts that logic outside of this one exception, despite the fact that much of that occurred more recently than the crusades. Moreover, if they can blame us for that, then should I hold them all responsible for the millions of Christians put to death in the Bolsheviks work camps? Should we hold them all accountable for Israel helping Azerbaijan to persecute Armenian Christians now? Should we hold them all responsible for making the lives of Arab, Greek & Armenian Christians hell on earth in the Holy Land? What you seem to forget is that Christians are the number one most persecuted group on the planet, and sometimes it was at their hands. However, unlike those who are only circumcised on the outside, we don't retaliate with violence. If we did as they do right now in Gaza & the WB there would be nobody left. One thing to consider is that you are making two claims simultaneously, and they're mutually exclusive. One the one hand you say these ideas regarding Zionism have always existed and been mainstream in the faith, on the other hand you say we've been persecuting them the whole time. It's one or the other, but both can't be true. I also would like to add that even in the 1600s there were Jewish rabbi's forcing Christian Arabs to convert & get circumcised in the Holy Land. In my 41 years on this planet, the only group that is treated as a punching bag in our society is us. If anyone dared to say the things that are said about us about them, they would be cancelled immediately. I'm disturbed by the fact that we have been brow beaten into denying objective reality. It's not the church running Hollywood & using entertainment to shape culture & make one specific faith the butt of the joke for decades. I don't believe that Christians in the West would overlook what's happening in Gaza if they didn't believe they need to support Israel in building a 3rd temple where they will practice sacrifice animals (both of these activities would be themselves an Antichrist act but nobody seems to notice that) so the Antichrist can stop them 3.5 years before Jesus returns again. I know this because other Christians who don't hold this view are horrified by what is happening. It's also interesting that nobody seems to see the parallel between this view & the Pharisees accusing Jesus of driving out devils by the power of the Devil. Let me contrast how Christians outside the US see this with something I saw from a man who also works for CBN, I believe his name is Chuck Holster or something close to that. He was reporting from his own YT channel about a month ago & he was critical of Israel for not going even harder on the Palestinians. This was in the context of reporting on a particularly violent operation where many civilians died. I could feel the Holy Spirit recoil in disgust inside me. I could see he had a lust for violence & bloodshed. If we allow the disgusting actions of H@mas to control our emotions, we will certainly let our hearts grow cold & the hate will creep in. The Holy Spirit will not dwell inside of us. I remember not long after Oct 7 the Lord prompted me to pray for the Father to open the eyes of people in Gaza & reveal Christ to them. I asked the Lord to give them dreams, visions or a visitation. Whatever it takes for people to know the truth. By December I began seeing reports of 200 men showing up at the church after having a dream about Jesus in one night. I pray for the Lord to reveal himself to the people in Israel as well. We say we don't believe in a cast system, but we all need to examine our hearts to see if that's true. Any interpretation of the scriptures that takes the focus off Christ & doing what he asked us to do should in the least be viewed with suspicion. Furthermore, we have all witnessed how issues around identity have been weaponized for decades in this country. Whenever someone can't support their position with a coherent argument the first thing they reach for is the identity card. We should not participate in that behavior. There are many younger Jewish people who have spoken about this lately and they're tired of everything & anyone who voices even mild objections to what Israel is doing as "antisemitic." People should be very skeptical of anyone demanding people be cancelled, left without a job, and ostracized from society for not getting in line with whatever a foreign government or some religion demands. Our own Congress just voted on an Antisemitism bill that included "saying the Jews killed Jesus." Even the most influential Jewish conservative, Ben Shapiro himself, was alarmed by that. He understands how many of us will see that.

The only actual prophecy about the disaster created in 1948 is the prophecy is Revelation. This is the 8th kingdom that came out of the 7. The 10 horns on the beast are the 10 un nations created out of the collapse of the Ottoman empire. This is the beast which John says, "once was, now is not, but will come up out of the abyss & go to its destruction." The united kingdom of Israel broke up after Solomon. That's why when he tells you, "let he who has wisdom calculate the number of the beast (always nations/kingdoms not individual people) for it is the number of a man, and that number is 666. This is a reference to the 6 pointed star, with 6 equilateral triangles & a 6 sided interior. It's not the "shield of David," it's the star of Remphan, Kiyyun, Moloch, Saturn. Oddly enough, they fail to realize when God said not to make images of the things of heaven he's referring to things in the sky. Ancient ppl tended to believe stars, the moon, the sun & planets were gods. These people are no longer Israel, & they're heading for destruction. I feel bad for them & pray for God to open their spiritual eyes before they're destroyed. I don't take pleasure in any of this. I feel a burden of responsibility because these "Christian Zionists" are encouraging terrible ideas, like sacrificing red heifers, rebuilding the 3rd temple & it will not end well for anyone. Just a few months ago H@mas listed the red heifers along with some other stuff regarding the 3rd temple & their mosque being destroyed as part of the reason for Oct 7. Our job as followers of Christ is to tell the truth & work towards peace, not to manipulate foreign policy & people to start WWIII.

@@notawinemom8540 Jesus had to be rejected by Israel (Luke 9:22) to provide the atonement needed to begin the New Covenant (Ezekiel 16:59-63, Luke 22:20). Israel is assigned to disobedience when it comes to Jesus and all will be saved at the end (Romans 11:25-32). Israel are the holders of the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-32, Romans 9:4). The new covenant, which God promised to make with Israel (Jeremiah 31: 31-37) began at the cross. If these imposters were the real Israel, they wouldn't be persecuting the Church of Christ in Jerusalem or the West Bank. Whether it’s to merely preserve them as witness to the promises He made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel or something else entirely we wont know until the coming of Messiah. point is that being a descendent of the chosen people Israel is not the same as being “chosen” for salvation as that is dependent upon the individual and their free will to place faith in Messiah or not. Shalom Dr Brown, could you please clarify something for me. Is Romans 11:29 'gifts and calling' purely about Israel, or is it also referring to individual spiritual gifts and calling? I have struggled with this being quoted as individual spiritual gifts and callings because it's clear Paul is talking about Israel. Would really appreciate clarification on this.
@YoelCohen1424
@YoelCohen1424 2 месяца назад
Matthew 25:40, Romans 15:27, Romans 11:25 clarifies all Israel will be saved includes Jew & gentile. THE gifts, THE promises, THE Covenants, THE calling refer to physical Israel but gentiles can share in those blessings. Recall story of JC rebuking the Canaanite woman. True it is not right for the dogs to eat the children's bread. Dogs eat the crumbs. But the "woman of faith" also has her wishes granted although JC said I was only sent for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. JC says he has other sheep who are not of this fold I.e. gentile Christians believers. The Christians are not treated like dogs or regular gentiles but sharing in the root of saved Israel. Branches are cut off but the root supports you. In order words gentiles are grafted in, they don't replace or cut off the root.
@YoelCohen1424
@YoelCohen1424 2 месяца назад
The root is biblical Israel which will not be cut off. As JC said not one dot or jot will pass away until all of God's promises are fulfilled. The promises & gifts included specific covenantal promises that if Jews do X or Y they will be given certain blessings like the land of Israel, material wealth, prophecy etc through "the old covenant" see Hebrews. However newer & better promises [see Hebrews] are made in the New Covenant. With the law also comes the curses as well. You can't steal the inheritance of the Jewish people. In this Jerusalem under Orthodox Jews...Christians are excluded but in the New & heavenly Jerusalem Christians partake & inherit the land. There is no reason based on the New Covenant why a Christian cannot live, pray or commune next too or with the Jewish people. If the blessings are real in the New Testament then technically if a Christian lived in Israel next to an Orthodox Jewish family we would expect on a number of levels your blessings to be greater than promised in the Old Covenant. Like Cain vs Able or the parables in the New Testament. Matthew 5:14-16, Matthew 13:1-23, Luke 13:6-9. “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”
@YoelCohen1424
@YoelCohen1424 2 месяца назад
Even though as an Orthodox Jew myself I do not believe in the New Testament. But I am well versed & studied it. I think the best way to explain it would be the parable of the younger & older son. The younger son spoils his inheritance but then returns back home a poor man. The father welcomes him back home. What is lost is lost but what is gained is gained. The father is just happy his son is alive. The older son is jelouse that his brother is reinstated. The truth is a brother is always a brother. His father will still set aside something whatever is left for the younger son. Unlike a human father however, God can restore lost fortunes and give back what is taken away. Whatever God promises to give to the Jewish people in this world is their inheritance. But whatever God gives/rewards in the afterlife is up to Him! "How much more will regathering of Israel mean riches fir the gentiles!". A special inheritance is given as a birthright to Israel. The parable of the vinyard/field explains it well. If the sons do the right thing you don't take what is already promised to Israel. Two ways to look at it. One is the loaves of bread JC have out in abundance. Those who were there experienced the miracle. Could have plenty to eat. Or the Manna. Everyone gathered their portion of bread or fish. When the miracle is over let's say a gentile comes along. The gentile doesn't get any loaves and fish but is told he has eternal life if he believes. If he believes he might be given a miracle if his own or recieve other blessings, maybe if he was invited to one of those people's houses perhaps he would eat some of that food on the dinner plate. But he can't take what isn't his.

Does that mean because a miracle was done for Jews & not for gentiles therefore they are excluded? No. It means JC might have been more generous. But of course a gentile who finds favour can be just as favoured in not more favoured. Inheritance is given over due to e.g. the blessings God conferred upon the Patriarchs and their descendants. Is God therefore unfair? No. For certain reasons the Jews have special privileges & blessings. Can gentiles therefore recieve the same blessings as well? Not just share but recieve the same? By asking for it, working hard to achieve God's favour they can have similar or greater blessings. To have THE gifts THE blessings given to Israel, no you cannot take those unless you come from the stock of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. However God can give to whomever He wishes to give. Let's not be children though. I want that piece of bread because he has that bread. I want the same vineyard as their vineyard. I want the same grapes etc. WHY do people want we've got? If we have something you don't have ask God to give you the same of something better.

Nobody should care. These "concerns" come out of jealousy, if the Almighty God wants to save all of Israel, who are we, to tell Him, He's wrong or "that's not fair ". I only want what God wants. His will prevails for eternity and there's no one that can have a tantrum big enough to stop the Almighty God from doing what He wants. So get over yourselves if you feel it's not "fair",repent of your jealousy and go spread the gospel to the nations.

I totally agree that we should not care, however my concern comes out of deep concern for my brothers/sisters who are being deceived and drawn away from doing Gods will. We have just lost a member actually because he was obsessed with “Gods chosen ppl” and got extremely angry and agitated when I asked him about it, as in where does Jesus talk about the subject because I was curious. It was all very strange and I am seeing it more & more now, it made me wonder why some ppl are so adament about a certain bloodline being special? What does that even mean - no one who holds fast to the ideology can ever give me an answer

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. God is not now a "racist". He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son's blood at Calvary. Paul warned against using "genealogies" in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. Why? The most important genealogy in the Bible is found in Matthew 1:1 and Galatians 3:16. In 2 Thess. 1:7-10 Paul said Christ returns "in flaming fire" taking vengeance on those who do not obey the Gospel. Is there a Plan B of salvation based on race at the Second Coming of Jesus in this passage? Romans Chapter 11: In its New Covenant context... There is no Plan B of salvation outside of the New Covenant Church in this passage. Plan A is found in verses 23 and 24. In Romans 1:16 Paul said the Gospel was taken "first" to the Jews. This time period can be found in Matt. 10:5-7, and Acts 10:36-38, and Gal. 1:14-18. Many try to claim God never gave the Jews a chance to accept Christ, so there must be some Plan B of salvation before or during the Second Coming of Christ. Romans 1:16 proves they are wrong, since Paul said the Gospel went "first" to the Jews. Many ignore the fact that Peter addressed the crowd as "men of Judea", and as "men of Israel", and as "all the house of Israel" on the Day of Pentecost, when about 3,000 Israelites accepted the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. The Gentiles were not grafted in until several years later. This passage proves Paul was right about the Gospel being taken "first" to the Jews. Were all of the Israelites "partially" hardened in Romans 11, or were part hardened and another part were not hardened? The answer is found in the "remnant" of Romans 11:5. Paul reveals two different groups of Israelites in Romans 9:6-8. There is an Israel of the promise, and an Israel of the flesh. This is part of the context of Romans 11. Paul speaks about the "remnant" of Israel in Romans 9:27. This is also part of the context of Romans 11. Paul starts Romans 11 with two different groups of Israelites. In verse one Paul reveals he is still an Israelite, even after his conversion. Then Paul refers to two different groups of Israelites during the time of Elijah. There were the Baal worshippers, and there was the faithful "remnant". In verse five Paul says there is also a faithful "remnant" of Israelites during his time. This must be the Israelites who have accepted Christ, as on the Day of Pentecost. Paul uses the two olive trees as a symbol of the New Covenant Church made up of believing Israelites, and believing Gentiles grafted together into the same tree. The unbelieving Israelites have been broken off but can be grafted back in through faith in Christ in verses 23-24. Verse 26 is the problem for many modern Christians. What does the verse actually say, and how is it changed by many in the modern Church. I have heard two of our nations famous preachers say the following. "And then all Israel will be saved..." I have heard another say the following. "And all Israel will be saved..." What does God's Word, recorded by the Apostle Paul actually say? Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: The English word "so" is translated from the Greek word "houto", which is an adverb of manner, instead of an adverb of timing. Some have changed the word from "so" to "then", in order to change the meaning of the verse. How will all of the "remnant" of Israel from Romans 9:27 be saved? The answer is found in the verses that precede verse 26 and are found below. Rom 11:23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? Paul quoted from the OT in referring to the Deliverer coming out of Sion to pay for sin. Did this happen at Calvary, or will Jesus die again for His people in the future? Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. Verse 28 can only be understood by looking at how Paul started the passage. He started with two different groups of Israelites and he ends the passage in the same way. There are two different groups of "they" in verse 28. One group of "they" reject Christ and are the enemies of God, and another group of "they" are the election which accept Christ through hearing the Gospel and faith. Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. Based on Luke 21:24b-28, the times of the Gentiles comes to fullness at the Second Coming of Christ. This agrees with what Paul said in Romans 1:16 about the Gospel going “first” to the Jews.

@@notawinemom8540 Thank you for the kind words. They are very rare these days. We have many people today who call themselves "Christian", but they really do not understand the New Covenant Gospel. They often quote part of the Bible out of context and then ignore the parts that destroy their man-made Bible doctrines.
