@@DEEiBe I watched the whole game. Jokic was very efficient in the first quarter. Double double. The rest of his team was largely ice cold. Maybe watch it again or get your eyes checked. Edit: I get it, y’all are looking for reasons to try and discredit the man or poke holes in his game. She didn't do that. She said play up to their capabilities. ARe you going to tell me Rui is a 3 point a game scorer? That AR is a 9 points a game scorer? These guys may not be superstars but they certainly contribute more to the Lakers games than what they've been doing. That's all she was saying. 2 of the starters are not playing up to their potential therefore the Lakers aren't giving you their best. Also, look at the bench. They aren't stepping up either and that's crucial.

@@benjaminsmith2287 AR has proven this year that his capabilities aren't what they paid him for, same for Rui. Teams get tape on you and then things change unless you're really that guy. And we both agree they're not super stars. But the pressure is on the super stars because it's their job to do THEIR job EVERY NIGHT. So an Anthony Davis getting into foul trouble forces role players into HAVING to fill shoes that aren't their size. To be fair as well.. the rotations shrink in the playoffs.. so that doesn't help them get into the kind of groove you'd see in the regular season. I do think the role players need to step up.. but the stars need to close out a 20 point lead on the road.

Jamal came up clutch when they needed him to do so. Other guys put the ball in the basket enough and the whole team kept the Lakers down enough to tie and then win the game. You can have Jamal and Joker play their best and the Nuggets lose. A lot of the time, your two best players playing their best and the rest of the team well below results in losses, not wins.

Shady never said shut joker down, he said AD dominated him. AD went 14-15 against Jokic and the Lakers failed to get him the ball afterwards. Aaron Gordon didn’t shut AD down, Darvin Ham failed to give him the ball in the 2nd half. Both of those games were in the Lakers hands and they failed to close. Lakers will defend home court and close it out in games 7

I always find it unnerving how the so-called "national "sports talk shows are so blatantly biased to the Lakers. They also tend to favor the celebrity players like Stephen Curry, and big market teams like New York Knicks. That's why NFL is king. You just don't see that kind of biased with NFL coverage. Even former players tend to mask their bias towards their former team.

Again y’all don’t say nothing about Bron. AD was 14-19. Bron was 9-19. In the 3rd quarter, with Caldwell-Pope guarding him, Bron did not take advantage of that mismatch. First game was his 7 turnovers.

Who is a role player on the team? Because I do expect guys who brought you to the playoffs to play up to their capabilities in some games. Basketball is best with balanced scoring so that everyone gets involved. Joy is saying the starters, especially Reaves, has to play better. Reaves is the 3rd or 4th best player on the team, depending on what night it is, so he should be expected to get more than 9 points in the game. Reaves is capable of 16/6/8 and that's what I want to see out of him. Rui is capable of at least 10 points and rebounds as well. So, Joy is not saying they should put up the type of numbers as Bron or AD or DLo on a good night, but just put up more than they are. What's so wrong with that? And has the bench done anythng beyond Prince? A really good team has a solid 6th man and the Lakers don't have that.

How come the goat needs every player on his team to score 25 points for him to win and if they don't it's not his fault. Every other all-time great would have to pick up the slack for other players not playing well and would get wins this guy had an outstanding performance by Anthony Davis a great performance by D'Angelo Russell LeBron only has to close it out and he didn't and instead of saying that for him to take it home as the greatest of all time from what I hear they've still blame it on them not being great for the whole game

You all forget the one reason. AD did not disappear in the 4th. He touched the ball like 2 times because at 8 minutes left in the 3rd Malone called a TO and subduedly switch AG on AD and SG shut down AD in a defensive school. That was the turning point.

They didn't play their best game. Their second half was a struggle. A bunch of guys on their team didn't play up to their capabilities. If Rui plays up to his capabilities, the Lakers win. If Reaves goes into "I'm Him" mode, the Lakers win. If Dinwiddie gets it going off the bench, the Lakers win. It's not a one man game even if the superstars ball out and your starting PG is knocking down most of his 3s. Lakers couldn't score over stretches of the game and at times AD said they didn't know what they were doing. So, let's stop this myth that the Lakers played their best game.
