How long have you had your oldest pair? Do they stay waterproof after a longer period of time? I've read so many reviews saying they stop being waterproof after 6-12 months (but just as I read good reviews, so idk which ones to trust)
Thank you for the video on this. I have been on the fence about buying these, but I think you just have put me over the top on getting pair. The FAQ section was super helpful, excellent.
Wow. You are a good find (again) for me. I use to watch your videos a while back and then lost you. :O I know, I know. I should have subscribed but never did. It was never you, but me. :) Anyway, I do own one pair a Vessi's and was at their website today so I did a RU-vid search and you came up so here I am. :) I'm sure many Vessi owners got a workout here in Vancouver with all this rain of late. Hope all is well with you and yours Harmonie. Cheers!
I just ordered my first vessi shoes, weekend. hopefully, it works for me. I do think to order either cityscape or everyday for my bf. Your review is very helpful, so I know which one should be for him. because he has wide feet. Than you :)
I wish I had watched this before making a recent purchase. I love[d] my 2020 CityScapes, but the "Cityscapes Classic" available now has changed a great deal. The "tongue" is thicker and perhaps more waterproof, but less ventilated, and the back of the shoe is taller, stiffer, and bites into my heels. I expect it'll be a few months before I can wear them comfortably, but it sounds like the Everydays might have been more immediately wearable to me.
im about to purchase some vessi and am so thankful for your review!! cityscape vs everyday (which one is more comfortable for long time standing?) they actually just came out with a new one and would love your thoughts!
I havn;t tried the Everyday Moves yet, but I'm thinking they designed that option to be closer to an athletic shoe (for running, ect). So if you do more active things regularly, trying those ones might be a good call. I would say for most people the everyday would be a more comfy option. But in my personal opinion the Weekends are the best bet. :) hope that helps!
great review , I have the everyday ones and they can lasted more than I thought, 8 months , over 900 kms and a puppy that is teething and it still is usable but is no longer waterproof which is on me , or maybe the puppy
Thanks for your review. It seems that the Weekend has improved a lot compared with the previous collections. What do you think about the Everyday Move?
I really like the cityscapes in terms of comfort, they're nice & light & fit snug. Deff worth trying out if you want something slightly less clunky than the everydays
I had the original EVERYDAY MOVE SLIP-ONS and I just picked up a new pair. The new pair is not comfortable. The design is more pointed towards the toes and is very cramped towards the end of the shoe. I ordered a size 11 as I had a previous version that fit great. I had to go up a size on the new version of the everyday slipons and they are still uncomfortable. I have no idea why they made the toe section of the shoe pointy and narrow. Really ruins a shoe that is sold as comfortable and waterproof.
I actually found them to be a bit tight at the top, not the width but the opening....I am on the heavier side so naturally I have a swollen like feet! compared to an average person...I wonder if they will stretch...
Sadly I made this video like 3 days before that shoe dropped 😅 hahaha, but it seems that style is made to be an option that's more like a traditional "running" shoe. They're not explicitly marketing it as a performance shoe, but a waterproof option that's better suited for activity. It also addresses some of the shortcomings of the normal "Everydays", like more added arch support & breathability for activities. Though, I haven't personally tried them out myself just yet.
so question about the weekend shoe, I have been having issues with the tongue on shoes where how I sit causes the seam to rub against my big toe, these look like the tongue and toe covering is a single piece with no sewing seam. can anyone please confirm this. Thanks in advance.
they are flat base shoes with a polyvinyl type material construction. Rough guess is they probably put a plastic coating/membrane on the inside of the uppers hence the lack of breathability. The flat soles indicate the user needs to be of the lighter weight and to do no more than a casual walk in them per time. Advise the shoes are more for looks with the bonus of water resistance rather than for usability - no such thing as waterproof
Would you recommend sizing down for the weekend shoes? I am normally an 8.5, was gonna get a 9 in them but am now thinking maybe an 8. Thanks for your input, this is so helpful!
Hey! Great question, I would consider it, but honestly you wouldn't want the shoes to be overly snug either. So I would say double check the measurement that they have on the website for the 8, and if it matches up with your foot length you could give it a try. I believe you could also exchange for a different size if it's too small, but generally it's probably better to have a bit too much room, rather than not enough :) Good luck, i hope you find the right fit!
Do they have black Friday and cyber monday sale? Interested in getting the weekend. Is the small blue tag on the shoe their logo? It ruin the look on the all black colorway. Any idea if they have free return if I am not satisfy with the shoe or need an exchange. Is there a spot in vancouver where I can drop off?
Hey great questions! Yes, i do believe the have black friday/ cyber Monday promos. The blue tag is pretty low key and you could probably cut it off quite easily without damaging the shoe. As for exchange/ returns, I actually exchanged my Weekends for a diff colour-way and it was really simple & fast for the new ones to come in. Although the Vessi HQ is in Vancouver, I don't think they do drop offs there (I'm guessing it's because they keep inventory at a separate warehouse)
I'm looking to buy these as travel shoes for an international trip I have coming up and I want to try to consolidate shoes. How is the traction on these shoes? If I was doing some light hiking with some uneven terrain would I be slipping everywhere or are they pretty grippy on the bottom? (I will be bringing my hiking boots for the legitimate hiking on the trip but there will be some times where it won't be a full on hike and I won't want to wear my boots)
yeah actually they're pretty good, i hike in them all the time. Though i would suggest to tighten the laces when you do, I wear mine loose and sometimes my ankle will roll slightly (but thats my own fault, lool)
