Thanks Chris! Yeah I'm with you there. The shifts are very noisy. It would bother me much more if I didnt have noise cancelling headphones, so it always amazes me how loud it really is when I put them off! But the feel is great at least.
I had a really difficult time getting the paddles screwed in correctly - I say 'correct' but the only way I could get the right paddle registering clicks was to tighten the 4 screws down as much as possible - really overtighten them. I found their solution a bit odd but time will tell how that holds up.
This is funny to hear tbh, seeing as there is no need for clearance between the SF1000 and the paddles themselves. The paddles only need to be tightened enough to touch the contacts on the back - which is touching by default and does not need the screws. The screws just hold the thing in place. Now, if the paddle was not registering clicks, and it got sorted when you tightened the screws - you changed something else. What matters is the contact between the paddle, and the device it's sitting on, which has nothing to do with the screws. Over time, the paddles bend and there is constant contact with the clicker on the back. That is the issue, not the screws. a 0.001 adjustment there fixes the issue. Either by bend, or just it sliding into position.
Truly an amazing wheel! Yeah as I already said it really depends on what you like. It's good that they give you the option in the first place! Thank you and regards from germany :)
Sad that they sold the SF1000 with those garbage paddles. I bought the Tchronos after a week of using this wheel. The clicks are just too loud if you live with anyone else.
Chrono is must have! Otherwise my Neighbors will kill me once I drive during the night. Default pedals sounds cheap. But someone said: ''Positive click'' wtf is positive click...lol. Did you had Fanatec wheel on your hands once? Check it - you will feel whats mean ''positive click'' cause the one you show it on your video is a very ''negative click'' So Chrono Pedals helps a lot already and yes faster in F1 game = important thing. Positive best regards...
Left paddle is downshift right is upshift. Sometimes it’s used as clutch but if you have multiple then there would be a separate paddle for clutch. Pretty simple.
sf1000 have gear problems and frozen screen problems, if you play on a ps4. Had the same problem on two sf1000 wheel add-on until I return it. If you buy T-Chrono paddles may solve the problem for a while, it work for me for 4 months.. but the problem always comes back at some point. Sf1000 has more problems too, if you own a T300-base then you will lose force feedback a lot.. you must buy a GT 2-base. If you play on a PS4 don't buy sf1000 wheel add-on. it will cost a lot of money for something that doesn't work and a lot of time.
