Yeah I got dirt in them an one bearing stopped working so well after 5/6 months of doing that type of shit I spit into the bearings then cleaned them out while I was skating downtown now they work perfectly again lol
@@fegr988 I have only skated Bronson recently an before them I skated bones I hated the bones one they wouldn’t ever last but once I found Bronson I knew these were the ones but maybe I’ll try the indys soon thank you for that input!!!
Been riding the Branson Raws for about a year now and they’ve held up pretty damn good - might invest in these soon to see how much of a difference it makes
Do it! I used to ride the raws at one point in my life before i got robbed but i rode off brand for a year straight same bearings ive been needing new ones so i saved up for thesee!! And thyre amazing from what i remember on the raws thyre wayyyy fastterrr then the rawss and aree sooo muchh better and smootherrr call me crazy but i do hella better on my tricks now like magic like say for my ollies i was already able to do em high but with these its like no effort! And higher!
I’ve seen lots of negative reviews about the Raw’s on here. Did you maintain them regularly with some cleaning? Many said they’d slow down after a month or so
@@9Os_kid Depends A LOT where you skate. Crusty and dusty spots will make them go slower, closed bearings are way better. All Bronson´s pros go with closed bearings...
doesn't matter. drop two different sized/weight rocks from the same height, they both hit the ground at the same time. objects of different weight don't accelerate due to gravity faster or slower, it's always 9.8m/s^2
@@darkmephilez yes it is, acceleration due to gravity is exactly the same regardless of weight or mass. this is high school physics stuff. push a Chevy Tahoe and a Honda Civic down a hill, they both roll to the bottom at the same time
His potential energy only starts decreasing once he finishes his last push but it's also the time when his kinetic energy increases big time so you have to measure his *true speed* just before the bottom of the hill.
Crazy cos I tried my first bronsons not long ago Bronson Raws and they lasted about a month until the bearings started making loud clicks I had to switch them out. Is that normal with Raws
Idk G3's last me a year before I clean. Then they are good for another year, so far 3 years almost on the same pair. What do these really offer for 3× the price?
Absolutely nothing, because a ceramic does not reduce friction in a metal runway with a metal cage. If at all, they will deform your bearing much faster under heavy load. Ceramic bearings are a marketing gag that gets thrown in the market every couple of years. The only thing they improve is the account balance of the people selling them.
@@elaborat6314 makes sense actually. Thanks for that. I was considering ceramics or swiss or swiss 6. I'll take out the ceramics. I don't really care if they are lighter. My board isn't the fat one lol
@@justinsibley_ china reds. Yeah can't go wrong with them. I'm running china reds in my 60mm Longboard wheels on my crusier set set out. Knowing the china reds can take a beating. Tbh I feel no difference in super reds or china reds. I haven't tryed big blue balls reds yet. But if you can afford it try out the reds race. There super reds but with the built-in spacer and washers. And can be tightened more with the axle nut. I'll never go back to normal bearings if I can help it.
Where is that dude on youtube that stated Oust bearings were the overall best bearing. I'd love to hear his thoughts on this test. For me I would've loved to have seen a comparison run with Chandler riding the deck with normal Bronsons to compare his time or speed vs when he was on the Ceramics.
Bro they pop major tricks and hit the flat bar doing 25!!! They should’ve hit 30 at least for just rolling down a small hill. Love you guys but geez c’mon !! 🤪
@@memorysometimers3067 also do you not realize how slippery the berrics floor is? They aren't riding jello wheels bro.. if they go slightly off balance it's straight to sliding out.
@@StepsWay yes exactly what I’m saying bro. The berrics speed tricks are SAVAGE and they almost all hit 25mph. Was just saying this should’ve went a bit faster based on a hill with sick a$$ bearings compared to flat ground skatepark speed. ?? Maybe I’m wrong I guess.
@@StepsWay no negatives just a positive opinion that’s all bro. I love the Berrics FASTEST vids. But now I think of it I’ve hit 30 FS with crappy old wheels and dusty a$$ bearings so I don’t know what to think. Haha.
Welp, I use ccs abec 7 rating steel bearing, paired with my spitfire wheels that are the red version of those blue ones and my ox blood ripper board, they are great for trans I do a little park and street and I've used em for 8 months and still ain't dry and still roll like new
in terms of physics all bearings this size act the same under load, so they’re no faster than other bearings. BUT i will say bronsons last incredibly long and sound good too
Weird that when I studied physics at university there was this thing called friction that slowed bearings down, less friction = faster. But maybe you have a hot tip that friction isn’t a thing any more, IDK
It’s ok, you can admit that you don’t really understand the physics involved here and nobody will think any less of you, look at it as an opportunity to learn
Yeah dude the Berrics does those FASTEST tricks and they do actual sick a$$ tricks/grinds going 25. Should’ve hit 30 at least for going down a hill with crispy new bearings?? No negatives just positive opinions!! :)
Ive been skating for 2 years and i know my stuff for sure loose would be faster because of all the friction especially if you were to go down a hill in loose trucks itd be soo fastt
@@LyroLife dunno if it’s the same for ceramics, but for steel bearings you ride them for about a month then clean and relube them, then they’re faster than new
He ways more so how is that a good test pluse the other ones are wored in an probably dirty I want a real since test please I am wondering what Are the fastest bearings to buy
Why not just set up the trucks tighter, tweak them a little to make sure the board goes straight, and let them roll down the hill on their own with no rider weight? Using the SAME board setup. You could even put a 20lb weight on top to keep the boards tracking better. Like the most basic rules of testing is to eliminate variables...like riders of different size/weight.
@@berran3459 I used to think the same thing years ago, but I had a set of Super Swiss 6 last for 5 years. They got cleaned every so often, but they stayed fast. Just saying, some expensive Bones can last a long time if you take care of them.
expensive bearing are not made to be faster than normal bearings. they are just made to last longer under the same use. shitty bearings can be hella fast but break in a matter of weeks
@@3jsu5 I ran cheapshots for ages and they were spot on. Probably try the independents next my mates got them and they feel good, ive got reds in at the min an they were shite out the box a couple felt gritty before I even put them in a wheel.
@@LUZ-zv6pq same with me i roll with cheapest i can find for years. The ones i remember skating are indys and cheapshots. Ive had reds aswell but never new just as backup since i skate till every single bearings are a different brand. The indys and cheapshots were great but after awhile (literall years) on all bearings the shields will be bowed in and you gotta pop them. Also what i've heard bronsons are garbage and don't last even if you lube them.
I've heard about that aswell, Reds are supposed to be better than lets say a pair of g2s or g3s. Also raws are supposed to be trash, fast new but break and get slow real fast and what i've heard it doesn't help to lube them. I just play it safe with cheapshots, reds or some local brand. 😂
@@Luisenator206 Like a normal skater. G2s last 3 sessions and G3s only last 4 months and they get super slow. Raws are just a horrible idea and get slow fast. NHS marketing really must of got into your head. Go buy your self some bones bearings or what ever your shop recommends.
i don't think bearings make a huge difference. kids at the berrics are able to push in the 20s and do a flip or flatbar trick. wheel size plays a role, surface, etc.
Bigger size = slower accel but higher top speed. Also don't forget that most people don't even use bearing properly (including me) and dont torque the nuts all the way so it spins on the axles more than the actual bearing
Seems like it because the tricks at berrics are 26 mph and this man is going on a hill crazy fast and is only reaching like 25 mph and seems to be going wayyy faster
@@brandongiron6494 But berrics is filmed from infront of the skater.. It looks insane if you're filming from the side but then it's always fisheye. The gun is definitely off but this is not faster then they go in the berrics. The berrics dudes are pro and skating on perfect ground.
I have two set ups one has Super Swiss 6 and the other Oust. In my 20 years of skating those 2 are the best bearings I've ever had. I lean towards Oust though, they're fast and keep their speed while making sharp turns.
@@acgwestsidesb6410 I have regular Swiss and ceramic Swiss the regular Swiss are surprisingly faster. The Bronson's being the 3rd fastest. ridding on Santa Cruz Bullet OG 66 92a wheels. This is my experience I do not recommend the Bronson's.
