I got very nauseous using spike oil even with the tiniest bit.... citric oil went ok and i'm happy to use it

I've been using Chelsea products for about a year now. I use the brush cleaners as a brush cleaner and paint thinner because the spike lavender oil has too strong of an odor for me. Love these products! I also use the lean and fat mediums and love those as well.

For the cleaner are you using the citrus? I am slowly making my way through the CCS products cause I am enjoying them.

Hullo Wild, I have been curious about the Chelsea lines of products since I discovered them! You are so correct about the lack of information about their products. I have not found very many videos of people that are using the mediums or cleaners either! Thank you for digging into these products and sharing your insights and ideas. I have purchased the sample set when it was on sale at Jerry’s Artarama, but I have simply never gotten around to testing them out! Oil painting is not my main medium, I want to get back into it. I am leaning towards the water soluble oil paints, but that is a whole new thing to me. I have been concentrating on soft pastels for the past few years and set the oil’s aside as pastels are quite engrossing and rather complex. I have enjoyed watching your videos and I do appreciate your efforts to educate and inspire, thank you.

I think the reason you don't see many info/videos on them is cause of the price... chasses away artist from trying them.

I haven't seen anything that says the brush cleaner can be reused. Will pigment sink to the bottom of a jar of the cleaner and then you can pour it off and reuse it?

I couldn’t find anything on those either. But after using it for months now I can safely safe the pigment does sink and you can clean it. I did notice it takes longer to separate so be patient 👍
