I’m currently using Cens, but that’s purely down to Sponsorship. They are suitable for any shooting, battery life is fantastic as well! I can highly rate the Peltor, they’re still being used by my partner and she’s very happy with them.
I can't see them cancelling out the first shots but maybe the following shots. So for pistol I would say they are acceptable but for rifle or shotgun I doubt they will be "smart" enough.i haven't tested them out myself but I can see this working with ongoing sounds but if your firing single shots I imagine there will be a delay of sorts?
