White person here I legit just use my hands. But growing up I used a wash cloth and at one point ig I stopped and started just using my hands. But now I'm thinking of being a wash cloth person again lol. I've seen the light.
Do you use a wash cloth when you wash your hands too? Don't compare the human body to a car. One can easily bathe well without a wash cloth and just their hands, unless you're bathing after ages and have a lot of dirt to be removed from your body.

@@ttna77 Sadly, these days, it's hard to tell what is parody and what is not. If your response was a send up, I give you a voila kiss, that was on point. If your outrage was in earnest, then I think you missed a few things. You were the one who said the OP's words were somehow racist. Which supposed that you assumed the poster's race. Because how can a Southern white person be racist against a Southern white person? Or a Detroit "Mexican" be racist against a Detroit "Mexican"? That doesn't make sense. People are People? People are not homogeneous and never have been. Male, female; tall, short; athletic, sedentary; talented, untalented; courageous, cowardly; religious, humanist. People are tribal, it's in our nature. If people ever became otherwise, we'd become something other than human. People also see the differences in other people. That is normal. It is also normal to sometimes disagree with the differences we see, or even judge. Neither of those are inherently dumb nor racist.
@TotalDentalNerd FYI you might want to look up how much bacteria a loofa carries, You'll be absolutely shocked about the scientific facts that came out about using loofas. And how much bacteria they retain from our bodies.
Yep Never NOT seen washcloths/towels (& bunch of other stuff that actually gets ALL dirt out) in black/hispanic households js 😂 other kids when I was little were ALWAYS getting ring worm, lice, etc..All that nasty stuff. We, however, do not play that. Were always super clean & me nor my friends never got those type of things, & blk ppl dont get dirty lice or stringy grease hair anyway lol. @@elin_it's actually good for your skin to have that exfoliation. It's not like it's sandpaper. However I can see your point with say a loofah or scrub gloves. Using those everyday can be too much on the skin. But you definitely need some form of daily (minimal) exfoliation as soap alone isn't enough. Side note: as an American who doesn't own a bidet, I don't feel clean unless I hit my booty crack with a wash cloth 🤷🏾♀️
Exfoliating rag for body…soft rag for unmentionables and long brush for back….pumice stone for feet…. Face is a whole series by itself. Self care is life.
Weirdly, in Scotland and Ireland, both of them, it is VERY hard to get a washcloth in your hotel room. I had to make a special request at All the hotels for a washcloth.
I experienced cultural shock in Colombia. No washcloths in any of the hotels I’ve been to here. I even asked for them in the best broken Spanish I could and ended up with a bunch of full-sized towels 😂
Had to learn it later on, since my pops knew but was too shy to share that knowledge and mom didn't grow up black. And lemme tell you, all those years of unexfoliated skin... 💀🙏🏿
Why does he think washcloths are even a thing if supposedly no one uses them, what does he think they're there for? You go into the bath section of any Walmart, any Target they're right there. Why else does he possibly think that is? I'm....so confused
Yes, we are real! I have over 14 of those and I use one per day, to wash my face and to scrub my body. When I have used 7 of them, I do a wash, with all other towels and whites. They are an essential part of my hygiene.
No lie, had a white roommate in college when I lived in a dorm. Since it was a dorm, we had to use communal showers. He only ever left the room with his head and shoulder’s shampoo and a towel to go shower. Same guy would eventually ask me why I used lotion on my skin 🤦🏾♂️
I grew up with washcloths and my roommates in the military were Black guys. As a white guy i just found out this was a thing that white folk dont use washcloths. It's only gross if you use the same washcloth repeatedly. What more gross to me is the thought of everyone rubbing the same bar of soap all over their bodies
We also squat in public restrooms. We don't sit on the toilet. Even in hospital restrooms. Scrub from the face bowl first. Get all the soap off. Then go to the shower. Scrubbing and rinsing first gets me very clean and keeps me safe in the shower. I started that when I turned 80..😊😊❤
I was today years old when I found out some people use washcloths in the shower. I'm like, I don't want to do extra laundry. 😂 I use liquid soap though since bar soap can grow bacteria.
I can't imagine NOT using a washcloth. Gross. I had a roommate in college who took 60 second showers with no washcloth. She smelled bad and she had itchy, flaky skin from buildup, yet she made fun of me for using a clean washcloth every day. My skin is soft and smooth, and I know I am clean.
Swear to God you really do gotta teach some grown people how to bathe. Apparently it isn't all that intuitive. My brother was like ten(obviously not grown but old enough) and I noticed his hair still stank to high heaven after a shower but he insisted he'd washed it. I told him to put some trunks on and show me how he did it. He dead ass put the shampoo on his head and immediately put his head under the water, zero lather, then looked at me like I was dumb. I said BOY! Legit had to scrub his head for him just to show him. (We had some neglectful parents, but damn I'd always figured some things would just be common sense)

@@correctandsexyaboutit the intuitive part got me thinking for a while and i was about to agree but then i remember how it is with us. in my place, infants to children up to maybe age 8 or something were bathed by adults until the children themselves start to learn embarrassment and begin bathing themselves, so that is definitely how we learned to do it growing up. not intuition then (at least not always) but rather things gradually picked up from the adults in a home. perhaps your parents’ neglect really did play a part. it sounded like you have been more of the parent to your sibling than your actual parents.
@@correctandsexyaboutit or it could also be an issue of “how tf do i use this shampoo to keep clean” rather than the intuition to clean one’s self. like the video as well. the man knew he had to bath to clean himself but had no idea as to how to properly do it. probably couldn't process the logic behind skin and dead cells.

Yes!!! All my old wash cloths become my new cleaning rags!! I have a whole shelf in my linen closet designated to wash cloths. Soon as they start getting raggedy they get transferred to a drawer in my kitchen where I keep the rags! I’m sure most everybody does this! This man must be playing talking about “wash cloth people”😂😂😂
Depends on the job/location/activity. On my first deployment, I had visible dirt on my white towels and saw grey water running off me/squeezing out of my color towels. Especially after I picked up running when I was there. (I have an office job). I almost exclusively use white towels to bathe now, but being back home, I don't see dirt come off of me like that but for a few situations.
I’m pretty sure these posts are trolling black people. Not using seasoning and all the food prep and cleanliness stuff, just act like you don’t know what they’re talking about. They’ll pat each other on the back and feel really good about “winning”🎉😉👍
I always wondered why they never used one in soap commercials. I tried it and it doesn’t do anything. Then I thought well maybe it’s to show off the soap. But college and military showed me…NOPE they just don’t use em’😂
It's an actual thing my grandma would talk about it back in the 30s when she was a lil girl ..it's a practice. That goes way way back due to lack of indoor plumbing and buckets of hot water were use to fill up tubs and barrels ...if y'all think this was bad try using a chamber pot aka slop jar to go to the bathroom at night cause you don't want to deal with the cold or possible snakes while going to the out house 🤷🏾....and they would just rub the soap on their body no cloth at all while we were told to get that rag and scrub 🤣🤣 ...
