As an immigrant and brown person that came to the U.S. with my parents, 4 suit cases, and $600, myself and both of my parents are examples of the American Dream fulfilled. Enough with these victims, especially these multi-millionaire and billionaire (Oprah) black victims.

I suffered acute depression and anxiety after a series of knock back in my life and by accepting victimhood. I developed an excuse for everything. Reasons not to act to improve my health. I contemplated suicide. I rose above in time by starting to count the good things that came my way and realising that you cannot die from anxiety. Eventually the evidence was clear that i was not a victim and could stand with hope and purpose. Hope and purpose did the rest.

Elon Musk is actually correct in his assessment of this Country. Many factors do however fall into the reality of what the guy interviewing Elon, is saying. Mainly because all people fall prey to their owm prejudices against others. Whether it be race, religion, gender, culture, or whatever; but the main thing is Elon Musk proves the exception to all of people’s prejudices. If people actually worked together to make things better for others and to help advance society forward. Things would be much more generous to all people. The truth is that the People make the Country and how everyone is divided and after their own selfish interests is why no good can come from their bad efforts

Agreed, but Americans need to take on a whole world view as well. Sorely lacking and the selfishness that US society has about being the center of the universe is a big part of its problem.

@@stopdropnroll which is the consequence of having Freedom in general. Being free means doing what wills for themselves and a majority of people are selfish rather than selfless. Certainly Christians sin, we know of recorded historical brutalities, crusades of persecution and or double standards, burnings at the stake. Satan is pleased to promote such narrative as a result of Christianity instead of evil doers in disguise, it would influence more people to turn away from Jesus Christ, misery loves company

The man interviewing Elon has had it so bad that he makes millions of dollars every year doing nothing more than pushing a "victim" message to anyone who feels like they have not been treated fairly. Trust me when I say everyone feels like they have not been treated fairly at some point in life because they have been treated unfairly, regardless of skin color. I can only say that in my life, I have met exactly one person who was a racist and that was 30 years ago. Nobody else cares or has ever cared in my lifetime because almost nobody raises their children with such beliefs. I do not believe that was the case 100 years ago. Almost everyone today believes racism to be stupid and evil. Make a good product or provide a good service and most people will buy from you. Yes, racism exists on some level or with some small percent of people and maybe at a subconscious level as is suggested by some, I don't really know, but if you focus on that, you will never succeed. You will always be a victim. Look at the interviewer complaining about how he has experienced racism, yet he is more privileged than a literal king was 500 years ago. Not to mention that he makes more than probably 99.9% of humans on Earth. If that is racism, give me some of that please. How does he even know that what he experienced was racism? How does he know what he interprets as racism, was not just someone who disliked his personality? Has he ever been a white skinned person to know if white skinned people have similar experiences, but just interpret those experiences as a normal personality clash. I experience people hating on me all the time, but when that happens, I attribute it to a personality clash or an ethics and morals clash or a clash over the proper way to evaluate problems, etc. The idea that it could be a racist thing does pop into my mind on rare occasion, but most of the time, I think its due to some other reason. Maybe the interviewer experiences outright racism or something and that is why he says he "knows" when people are treating him with racial bias, I don't know. I just see a black man who has it so dam good and still feels victimized. I can't understand that or relate to it at all. If he is experiencing outright racism, that would really, really make me angry at the people doing it, but I don't think I will ever be able to "know" what he is experiencing and this "victim mindset" is not good for society. It cannot go on forever or it will actually create more racism as people who "know" they are not racist will get tired of hearing that they are racist and at that point, society will break down.

You can't claim to be a victum off events that happened before you were born. No one is born to perfect parents. Most people reach an age where they can't blame the way thier life turned out on those parents. Blameing your parents or some long dead white guy for how your life turns out is one of many excusses a loser makes to obsoulve themselfs from personal responsibilty. This excuse is particulty offensive as the cost of black freedom was paid by a particuly high blood price. Which has been totally taken for granted as if it means nothing. If you can be ungratefull for that. Why should I expect gratitude for any other gifts?

"I think we're [America] doing better than anywhere else."? Are you? Don't you think that depends on who you are & what your circumstances may be? I for one would never look to Elon for wisdom or the answers to happiness for all. He lives in a world of his own, far removed from the rest of society. He has no empathy or understanding of how society actually works beneath the shiny surface he chooses to see. Nor does he wish to.

A person has to make it with the skills they have. And some are born with far more skills than others. Some are born with huge IQ. Some are amazing athletes. Some are artists. Some just are average and have a capacity to work hard labor jobs. And that isn’t about color. It’s about random luck. It’s just the way life is. I certainly don’t have a lot of money, thats for sure. But what America has is abundance and freedom. We lose sight that because of what we have. Much like what Elon is being accused of. We don’t see it. Try North Korea maybe? All Elon is saying here is that through history, every culture had slaves to do the dirty work. It was a matter of the conquered and the conquerors. But at the end of the day, we no one can make anything fair to where we all have equal outcomes. But we do live in a place that even with average mind and abilities, you can have a comfortable life- just not an extravagant one.

Well the goal is for America to move on and for everyone to be treated equally but what is the current reality? The reality is that people face discrimination all the time. What minority groups want to achieve is awareness so that we can make the changes we all want to see made real. With that said we all have to remember that just because someone is white doesn't mean their road is paved with gold either. Some people are born into poverty for example and they are not of color. The truth is however that people of color do not have as much equity as caucasians do overall collectively. Women have to fight tooth and nail to be put into leadership roles because of gender bias. Although, he is correct acting like a victim can a self fulfilling prophecy at the same time ignoring the reality of racism isn't going to make it go away.

While it's true that individuals of all backgrounds face challenges, systemic inequalities persist, disproportionately affecting certain groups. Recognizing these disparities is crucial for fostering a more equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
