So for 20+ years my work carry consisted of an Outdoor products small duffle and fanny packs with the straps cut off. It worked out very well other than the fanny packs weren’t the best for organization, basically mini dump zones, but better than dumping the gear in a backpack loose.
Fast forward to present and the pouches that are available now fit really well in the duffle and I really seek myself carrying this again and picking up a backup duffle.
Sometimes what is old is new:)
