Speaking of style advice, I showed my hairdresser a screenshot of Anya and asked for that hair. She just gave me a boy's haircut and I was devastated but I did try!!
OH MY GOD no but listen!!!! I went to a hairdresser when I first got short hair (first time at a hair dresser in more than a decade - I've always cut it myself) and showed her a pic of a hot lesbian cut and she gave me a terrible Karen mom of three haircut 😂 it was awful! Now I'm back to only cutting my own hair hahah
@@WivesVsWorld I need to learn to do that then! I had it super long but I got it all cut off in prep for the awful summer heat in the UK with our lack of aircon, and I had to take down all my mirrors because I can't bear to see myself.
@jennymckenzie5304 I definitely cried about it too :') styling with a bunch of mousse and trying different things definitely helped getting through the awkward phase tho btw. But I absolutely encourage experimenting with cutting your own hair haha ❤️ especially when you're broke like me and can't afford trying out different hair dressers to find a good one 😂 (also it was SO expensive to get it cut and I was so so so mad about it and still am 😂)
Hahah good luck :') ❤️ We don't, unfortunately. Only because we simply don't have the time to run it 😭 people have asked a few times tho so maybe one day?
Every trans person gets a free 365-day fashion trial period. Anyone who criticizes that person's outfit gets immediately jailed for up to 31 days. This law is applicable only to solids. I’ll run for president on this proposal.
As a trans woman: Genuinely, you two are relationship goals. I am pansexual, but I have generally experienced that femmes are easier to have an actual relationship with without being objectified and fetishised.
Interesting fact about Danish telly! We are all (people being 40 and younger) VERY good at English, so we don’t really make our own movies and series as much as other countries does, we just use already existing stuff from other countries with subtitles (we only dub kids TV here, I know for some that is shocking) 😂 also, our dubbing game is WEAK, it was really good back in the early 2000s when we still had voice actors, but real actors has taken over that field and it SHOWS 😩
oh interesting. It's pretty much the same in portugal (not the very specific voice acting bit). I always found it super weird that most other european coutries dub everything? Like I remember being in italy one time, we turned on the TV and Moulin Rouge was on and... they didn't dub the songs but they dubbed everything else!!!! it was so weird!
Damn, that sounds so strange to me 😂 Hardly anyone can speak English in France, so I have a hard time imagining series and movies not being dubbed... I'd love it though, it would add some educational value to binge watching 👌
yes, fashion/styling video. please and thank you. i really love how you both dress but also i kinda love the idea of anya trying clothes and seeing jackie in the back doing cheerleading and howling at the moon for every fit. also, i'm adding "going to denmark so i can have a tattoo from jackie" in my bucket list (and be warned if possible i'll use that occasion to make you both sign my first bottle of estrogen (that i kept to be signed by all the trans and queer persons and personalities who were influential in my life)).
Jackie, I'd love to get a tattoo from you, but... well... I live 4,073 miles away! No worries though, I'm hopping on my bike now... I'll be there in about 5 years! :)
I hope you’re flourishing regarding ur tattoo journey by the time I have the opportunity to go to Denmark to get tattooed by you !! 😭 hopefully it’s when I’m on tour with my band 🙂↔️ Also the style video ideas sound hella entertaining !!!
I definitely agree with the movie recommendations. Anything made by Anders Thomas Jensen provides insight into the Danish dark humor of the 2000s. Solkongen (2005) is another film I really enjoyed. Also - as I remember it, En Soap (2006) is about a woman who leaves her boyfriend and moves into a new apartment, where she befriends her neighbor, a transgender woman, which leads her to explore gender identity and relationships. I loved this video btw
Oh excellent insight! Now I wanna look up Solkongen as well bc I've never heard of it 👀 That reminds me that I really liked A Royal Affair for a more historical vibe! Oh righttt I've seen that! I remember En Soap as being really good and wholesome too ❤️ Thank you so much!
5 million total of population?! Wow! My city alone here is almost at 1 million! 😭 You two make me want to visit Denmark, considering my main focus is filmmaking haha Jackie is soooooo relatable lol and yes Anya's laugh is my favorite! As far as types, definitely understand Anya's haha cuz same same 😂 You two have the most amazing representation I've ever seen! Thank you for sharing yourselves 😁
I think Danish films are definitely interesting to film people tbh! Hahah I'm glad it resonates 😂 Awww thank you so so much ❤️❤️❤️ we're so happy to hear that ✨️
A styling series would be amazing from you two! I think something cool could be a series where you go through a bunch of different popular aesthetics and try to make fem/masc outfits for each of you and go over ways to make the aesthetics work for trans people / gender nonconforming people This is mostly a selfish request because I'd love to be able to send one of your videos to the trans girl I recently started dating and be like "Babe wake up! The Wives just dropped a punk fashion video and I need you to watch it and have a fashion party with me!" 😂
I have been stealth for many years, originally for safety reasons but I moved somewhere much safer. It took me almost 8 years to realize that being trans was an important part of myself and identity in a more open/visible manner. It's made me much happier.
Dogme 95! Melancholia (2011), a Zentropa production but filmed in Sweden. Dancer in the Dark (2000, starring Björk). I am not Danish but love many Danish films. The history of cinema is incomplete without Denmark.
Denmark is probably a little better than Norway. But, Norway has insanely long queues. 5 year wait for SRS, for example. Any diagnosis besides gender incongruence and they double or triple the diagnostic times. Only binaries get accepted into the system. Puberty blockers for young people has been defined as experimental, and then they refuse to start clinical trials to allow access. I started at 32, looooooooong overdue due to shame and fear of coming out since childhood, but because I work fulltime, have a good relationship to my family and a fairly large network of friends, I own my apartment and zero diagnoses except a period of depression during my 20s the special health services fast tracked me as I had already lived as myself for 2 years without hormones. Even fast tracked, I still won't get a blue prescription until late this autumn, a year and a half. A year and a half to get started, on the fast track.... Luckily, I got my hands on hormones through a private doctor. Fair enough that they are strict and have high standards to allow surgery. But, hormones are generally reversible. But, the wait times are ridiculous. If the special health services insist on having a monopoly on diagnosing and SRS, then they need a lot more funding and a lot more hands on deck to decrease the wait times.
Please do style videos! I would love to see a video on what I would describe as Jackie’s comfy-cute and queer former punk styles. Sorry those styles may have names but I don’t know them. I have a similar vibe as a person, and I would love to know how to express that in my style. I would also love to learn more about Anya’s scholar and scholar-pirate looks, as I feel I could make that into a style that is both androgynous and professional.
The danish healthcare system does pay some of the hair removal, but in my case it was a very half-hearted offer which only came after 1.5 years in the system, at which point I had long since found and paid for a private alternative
yes! kingdom hearts! the first two mainline games are so so good, too bad they had to turn the story into such a clusterfuck. Even kh3 was good on a mechanical level but you just can't engage with it in the same way as the others... Also, Sora's character didn't use to be so goofy... like literally, there are two goofies in the group now...
Totally agree! I really liked Birth By Sleep too, might actually be my favourite tied with KH2 🥰 And KH3 is... Well, a shame, really 😅 kinda dropped the ball. I'm gonna have to replay it as well to see if it is as disappointing as I remember it 🫡
Voice Training i should do myself i never pass as a man people always think i am either underage or a tomboy. Since i can not take Testosteron due to health reasons i try to do it myself with RU-vid videos unfortunately not very successfull.
Voice training is definitely difficult and not something that will just be perfect from one day to another! You just have to keep practicing, you can definitely do it if you keep practicing, even when it feels like you're not making progress ✨️ I believe in you!
@@WivesVsWorld thank you even If i as a intersexperson may not be Part of your Main audience i really like how calm and collected you tackle theese Videos. It gives us a calm and cozy place to discuss theese topics, wich is absolutely rare on the net right now. So thank you for that.
Correct me if I am wrong...but Anya seems to be the one who is all masc, protects Jacki like husbands would...Jacki seems the ultimate girly girl...whereas Anya is happy being one of the boys. Just wondering if I am right in my assessments?
