The taxi you was asking about the engine is a hindustan ambassador it was originally a british car design from the 1950's called a Morris oxford mk 3 still made in India from 1958 until 2014
16:38 the rickshaw if balanced correctly should almost lift the "driver" lessoning the impact on his feet. making it easier to reach a speed. a leaning back balance of the occupants will decrease the weight while if they lean forward will increase the weight on the driver. get it right on a smooth road one can reach a good speed. but the balance may become precarious on rough terrain.
5:50 That stuff is good enough to be intravenously transfused instead saline dextrose solution. May taste not so good - but has everything to re-hydrate you.
Subway, Japanese must of built it, Indians couldn't do it lol.then British must of taught them rickshaws,Indians could never think of it, they don't seem to have much respect for the locals
@@mokujin29 I just said that I'm British to make you understand that I don't have anything to do with India, I just respect them even if many of them lives in poverty but the country is very rich.anyway, indian food is most favourite here in uk
a few energy drinks and zoom around the town for a few hours. then a good nap for a few. and call it the work out for the day !!! rickshaw running !!! since I know they should be well balanced !!! at least you have a local guide you will be fine !!!
They pour raw sewage straight into the river here in Serbia too. Less trash in the river only, and it is a larger river, Danube. Nevertheless, yeah, raw sewage...
Wonder when they are going to come to the United States. If you come to Wisconsin or Minnesota its is very similar in weather and landscape to their home.
@@mokujin29 Exactly! They never tried to....Every city has slum areas, more or less. If they travel only to Slum areas what else would they find? And the person whom they are referring to as "slave", is a rickshaw puller, a hard working profession, but not slave. And I'm impressed that they manage to find one as this way of transport is now mostly replaced by e-vehicle or auto-rickshaw! I follow and enjoy their channel, but disappointed to see this typical western attitude...
🤣 The struggle to find palatable food in a foreign country even at a McDonalds hits home to me. In September 2001 when I was in Sofia, Bulgaria on a 4-day pass , I went straight to a Pizza Hut. Ordered a big pepperoni pizza for myself, and almost vomited after the first bite. Apparently they use GOAT cheese over there. 😫
1:32 i'm a hindu but don't live in india nor was born there thanks for filming that part, that man should be concerned with what he's doing but not with that phone, these things are happening all over the world and also other religions such as muslims, christianity etc ..., and that sound. it is their \ our religion and you have to accept it and anyway cause i assume you are the only one out there who is bothered by it, thank you very much for that video as my ancestors had left from there in 1873 as a contract workers to another country, now I know what that place roughly looks like from where my ancestors came from, the caste system is one of the greatest enemies of Hinduism, fortunately that thing does not exist in my country, thank you very much guys for your video
The reason why people can run fast even when pulling a heavy carriage is because it works like a simple lever where the two wheels represent a fulcrum, passengers and cargo as weight and you as force as the weight and your force balance out on the fulcrum therefore decreasing tension on your shoulders and letting run at a greater speed
Some of those rickshaw pullers have no alternative. Its all they really know how to do. Also they're designed so that the weight rests in the center of the wheels, which makes it much easier to lift. Hard job, but better than nothing.
why? mcdonalds have standards, quality control etc, way better to in mcdonalds than to eat somewhere on the street where your food is made with hands and drink poured in a cup that person before you used.
That grill on the window is for safety, like to prevent from falling down for children or small animal as well as theft prevention. It also can be used as drying rack for clothing and storage things. Those people pulling rickshaw are not slaves. They are just like taxi driver for their own niche, such as tourist. They do it for their living. I'm not from India but this video feels somewhat demeaning to them.
I'm curious why you're starting to call yourselves Russians, refer to Russian money, etc. instead of Ukrainians? Also I love the taxi you were in, I believe it's called a Hindustan Ambassador. Based on a 50's British design, and still built in India well past the year 2000. And in general I think this trip has been amazing for you guys, helped you grow and mature from seeing conditions and things so different from your own, and I'm glad you did it.
I visited India 20 years ago we went there on a family holiday by far one of the best places to visit. You pair are being to scared chill out and enjoy it.
Calcutta is much lower in crime rate than Bihar and Uttar Pradesh... Calcutta isn't a criminal city... In shopping mall they aren't police they are only normal private guard
Chattel slavery. Pathetic and sad. This is why humanity will never leave our solar system or even set foot on Mars. We can only move as fast as the slowest member. India should quit building aircraft carriers and build some sewage pipes. That's a hell.
They’re in their industrial revolution. Every country was a s - hole during those times. Europeans were dying in ditches or floating down the river because they starved or caught illness.
Уровень преступности в Калькутте намного ниже, чем в Бихаре и Уттар-Прадеше ... Калькутта не криминальный город ... В торговом центре они не полиция, а обычная частная охрана.
They are not slaves. That's their job just like any other human beings. This was there when there were no engines to pul rickshawa. This is Calcutta's preserved heredity. Infact these hand pulled rickshaws get paid more than a taxi driver. We respect them as much as we respect our own family members. A very wrong concept. We don't differentiate people between skin colors.
You just differentiate between people of different castes!! The rickshaw ride was a good example of how those of a higher caste treat those of lower caste, I love India, but the way the lower caste and poor people are treated is horrible.
"Actually this slave rents his rickshaw, it doesn't belong to him".....nice words.....working for something/someone== slave for that person. Nice logic.
Calcutta is one of the safest cities that you can be in india.... Delhi and mumbai are far more unsafe. I don't know from where you got this idea that Calcutta is unsafe.
