I usually agree with you Dan- but not on this one. I had to fill out the form in 1980 at age 21- There was NO DRAFT coming. Periodically Selective service and military will request and update of current list when they feel recruitment is low. And for the record I hate the current administration and Congress and totally against aid to Ukraine. You need to study up on the history of the Selective Service in detail. And we always need to be prepared for a real threat-unlike the fake ones now over in Ukraine as tragic as it is for the innocent civilians over there.

Hi Dan. I'm with you a thousand percent. Was born in Poland after WW2, grew up in Caracas, then Montreal, California and midwest with finally retiring in Tucson. We escaped the nazis, and all the countries that were starting to go downhill. We are now at that apex! I never imagined this again during my lifetime. I'm friends with a major general in the army and will be retiring soon and leaving Syria. He absolutely does not want his young son to be in any military! I had to register in the 80s. This is nothing new. Does not mean they are getting ready to draft everyone. And believe me I am totally against the Ukraine aid. Just saying.Let's concentrate on closing the border. HEY DAN, It's been mandatory for males to register for the draft since 1978 or 79 . I remember when I was a senior in high school when we had to go register. We enjoy watching your channel every day for the past several years . JB from Chattanooga Tn.

Dan, my son served 23 yrs in the Air Force and he told me they won't take you if you have ringing in the ears. Its very hard to diagnose. Hope this helps you. Thanks for talking about this. Its very scary times we are living in. Remember, americans would rather die on their feet than live on their knees!

Female Marine Corps veteran here. Knowing what I know now and having experienced physically, mentally and financially pain and suffering for a endless war - I would never do it again, especially with this current administration. Yes, I feel today’s youth need to learn a few lessons in life such as discipline, respect, helping the weak, having manners, which is something the military teaches you. New comers flowing across the wide open borders yet, let’s send the American children to the frontline. The crazies are running the asylum now. I digress.

While everything you said here about the politicians are spot on, the new law "automatically enrolls men ages 18-26". Registering for selective service is already, and has been for years, a requirement (failure to register preventing one from getting govt jobs, etc.). The real mess will be when males "identify as something other than a male" if an actual draft was ever instituted...

It has ALWAYS been MALES ages 18--26. Selective Service registering has ALWAYS existed for decades & mandatory at age-18. WOMEN, STILL have NEVER had to register with the Selective Service.
