If you had some money in the stock market, simple S&P 500 index fund and owned a couple houses you are doing just fine. Talking about tractor supply, this stock has done great over the past couple years.

Dan, what do you mean with people need to do better? My take is when people, businesses and government take self responsibility and have empathy for others not just themselves , and when there is a setback to have an buildin resilience that would be a way to move forward. This needs to come down from the government, schools and at the homefront. As for the ranchers and farmers by just saying that they are doing the right things, really Dan maybe here and there. When ranchers still have overgrazing happening, farmers who deplete the groundwater supply , etc i could go on and on they deserve much more scrutinty.

On the "copyright" thing, YT goes way too far! Dan, you could be walking in the park, as you did today, and a car drives by, playing loud music. As a result, your video gets taken-down for "copyright", and you may even receive a strike. That music was not your doing----it was "incidental". Or, you find yourself unable to cover a public event, because they happen to be playing music. You have mentioned this yourself (as have others). Such situations should be covered under "Fair Use", and YT should be ordered to end this practice.
we used to shop at Macy's and JC Penney here in NJ. Years ago they came up with the brilliant cost saving idea of cutting sales personnel. It really worked well, they saved a lot of money. We would go there and find what we needed and there was no one to take our money so we just put it all down and walked out never to return. Then Macy's and JC Penney had another brilliant idea. they spent $millions to renovate their stores to enhance the "experience". JC Penney stopped sales and coupons saying that their prices were always low. Sales and coupons are reminders for consumers to buy. So they both went "down for the count".😩
Im 68 and live in a 6 bedroom house. I have 4 room mates, thankfully we all get along. This is the only solution for older people to live that don't own homes. Rental apartments cost a ton of money so that was out of the question for all of us here. Hard times are here !
