Enough to numb you to the fact there never was "deserving" loan takers, since because the inflated currency was moot already, it's actually the companies who DO pay in cash who are able to EVER pay up the money and outbid house owners into renters instead. Nothing to do whether they pay it upfront or through loans, if you were borrowing money it only could EVER be eaten by inflation before you actually pay it off. It wasn't banks being bailed out, it was the house OWNERS who were bailed IN, to actually owning their home in the first place. Their money wasn't worth the house. Because people didn't negotiate wages high enough, the house prices were lowered TO their level. This "capitalism" was actually socialism working as idealized and caused the housing crisis.
