Its not like anyones being asked to cut down to 145 or 135, and considering how much hassle this fight seems to already have caused, maybe doing it at 185 and avoiding any chance of a weight miss is an attractive proposition.

Look i like Chandler, he's a nice guy, but he has only won 2 UFC fights and one was demolished Tony. Chandler is the most overated fighter in the UFC, Fun to watch for sure, however Chandler is esentially a really fast exciting punching bag that keeps bouncing back until its finished. This is a tune up fight plain and simple, Conor has been off and inactive, but don't get it twisted, his fight IQ is still fucking insane, Conor only lost against Khabib, and Poirier twice which you know one was a leg break in a fight he was winning. It's gonna be extremely exciting, but anything Chandler can give, Conor has already dismantled multiple times.
