Are we Secretly Getting a New Pokémon Game this Year? 

I think something gonna be announced later but set to release in 2025 after Legend Z-A gets out, would be weird if otherwise

I'll admit, the fact that they announced a Kalos game for next year makes it hard to predict anything at all

Hopefully a SV mythical event

It could also be a port or remake of xy since it wouldn't be so much work just to port the titles to the current switch

It could even be a mere port of X and Y. I know it sounds stupid but assuming it's like PLA and the plotlines of BD/P/BDSP are very important, then a port of X and Y doesn't sound all that bad. Everyone wins. Nintendo gets a little something to boost switch sales for the holiday, fans get, well, X and Y on the switch, and TPC/GF wins because they can do the absolute bare minimum and still get millions of dollars.

I mean there are loads of more companies in Pokemon besides GF. Like Rangers, MD, and Snap were all made by diff companies

In fact BDSP ignores almost every single thing established in LPA and vice versa, the only link between them is a book that's only relevant for exactly 1 sidequest that isn't even needed to complete it. It can be anything and everyone wins, but the best course of action is a spin off from ILCA or even a remake.

This is why I've been Predicting a New Entry to the old *Pokémon Conquest* Franchise, with *_a Story Emphasis on the 'Original Dragon':_* it'd give *The Pokémon Company* _a Canon Story Set in the Unova Region without releasing_ *BW/2 Remakes;* Revive a Franchise that AFAIK *Sold Well when First Released;* Provide Lore on History that _was Established about 15 Years ago and Never Elaborated upon,_ allowing *Game Freak* _to Tie it In with the Other Major Events in Pokémon;_ and *Gives TPC an Out to Introduce the 'Original Dragon'* in a Fashion that *_could be Sufficiently Overpowered to Player's Expectations, without being Transferrable to a Mainline Title and Breaking Competitive Play..._* Having *Game Freak's B Studio* and *Representatives from TPC* Overseeing either *ILCA* or *Grezzo* in Building the Tactical Strategy Engine of _Conquest_ would _require Mimimal Attention from the Main Companies,_ allowing them to focus their Efforts on their Mainline Titles. Having *Game Freak* provide the Story allows the Third Party to Put more Effort into _getting the Gameplay Right Quickly and Efficiently before implementing Additional Elements the Storyline Requires of It._ Precedents for the Game Engine are well-established in both the Original *Pokémon CONQUEST,* as well as the Game Franchise _Conquest_ Spins Off of, *The Ambition of Oda Nobunaga* - _Replicating the Gameplay Style of Older Games for newer Systems is ILCA's Forte,_ so there's No Doubt they'd nail things on That front, and having the Story Provided lets them Handle *just the Art and Mechanics, which people have No Problem with from them.* As an Opportunity _to make up for the less-than-stellar Remakes of Diamond and Pearl,_ this Setup would provide ILCA with the Best Chance *to Repair their Reputation in the Eyes of Pokémon Players,* and let them make Another Attempt at a Mainline Title in the Future if This Game worked out in their Favor... The Design of such a Game could've been Started _as Early as the SV DLC's Announcement,_ giving even ILCA Ample Time to *Recreate the Conquest Engine from Scratch and have it Prepared for Release This Year.* So I'm still holding out from Calling 2024 _an Empty Year for Pokémon Games..._

I guess. The Pokémon spin-offs are better for the Nintendo consoles. Only Detective Pikachu Returns barely has any content.

They're already not doing that since they're absolutely working on gen 10 alongside ZA... And I'm already kinda pissed that they're wasting time and ressources with ZA actually. I mean if they have time to work on a full other game, they have time to work on the National Dex for gen 10 (and no, I will never let that bullshit excuse they gave back in gen 8 slide).

@@c0mpu73rguy I'm not gonna lie the pessimist in me actually see this occurring. Maybe they put 2025 as a placeholder but really they're gonna try their best to release it January 2025 (quick reminder Legends: Arceus released in Jan 2022). I reasonably expect January 2025 for Legends: Z-A and Fall 2026 for Gen 10. Much better than previous schedule releases but still has that unrealistic-ish pace.

ILCA made One Piece Odyssey that is actually good. The fault is rather the Pokémon Company for the rush.

@@Voxet1 Remaking Platinum would have been the solution. Then again, ORAS did not have the Emerald stuff. Even HGSS never have all of the Crystal stuff either.

But I think if they’re going to do x and y remakes I think they’ll want to do it the right way, it could be the other way around where legends ZA is here to retcon or set the stage of what has happened in kalos only for them to do a full blown remake with the story they wanted to tell from the start in 2027 or so.

there is no such thing as a definitive edition. Legends ZA is worse than XY

they still making BW remake, just wait. Unova is not skipped, just Legend series are not in order, i mean they started from Sinnoh not Kanto just like other remake. Maybe after Z-A so they can add Mega as a gimmick in Unova remakes

It's not done by GameFreak, but it is done by spike chunsoft, who JUST released Shiren the Wanderer 6 (the series PMD is a spinoff of) who isnt likely to turn around and immediately release a PMD game as well the same year after just wrapping up Shiren.

But I do wish they did a legendary pokedex update where u can keep track of every legendary u find. That would help.

I think it’s obvious that Nintendo want and need of the support of a great IP like Pokemon for the launch of their new system. So Z-A was moved to be launch the same time than the new Nintendo system.

Don’t forget Project Bloom. That mean Game Freak is working on Legend Z-A , Pokémon Gen 10 and Project Bloom. 3 ambitious games….. i Hope Gen 10 is for 2026 , that the only Hope i see for us to have a well finished game.

Again, way too early for another remake. The next remake will be on the new console. there is no game this year
