waleska is right. the elderly woman is the mother of both of the male leads. one of the brothers was kicked out of the house for marrying someone beneath their "status" and now the younger brother has grown up and come to reunite the family. when the brothers hug it out, the mother is shown to feel that connection while being in that cold emoty house that used to be filled with colors many years ago before the brother was kicked out.

Infact almost everyone remembers the hook steps for these songs and whenever these songs are playing, whether it's a house party or a wedding people will burst out into these moves, we don't even have to plan it, we're all in sync because we have danced to these songs so many times in our childhood.

Omg you finally reacted to one of the classics! This will be one song that will always be performed at south asian weddings! Literally I remember my cousins and I creating performances to bole chudiyan since we were really little. Chudiyan is decorative bangles that are worn, most commonly made of glass, metal, they're not like usual bangles you'd find in a retail store in the west or England. So the song means bangles are speaking/talking. Like the sound that the bangles make will do the talking when you shake your wrist. If that makes sense.
I don't think Indian family weddings had choreographed dances back in the day. But after big movies like this came out, it became a thing. It's very common now to have a choreographer hired and cousins and friends and parents and grandparents train on specific songs to perform, usually at the pre-wedding parties/events.

D is sometimes pronounced as r depending upon the context, and you won't know unless you're Indian. So chudiyan is actually pronounced as churiyan. ड़(d) र(r) we've two different sounds of r, first one is a deep one and second one is lite.
It has always amazed me why people from Bengal and Bihar pronounce usually r as d and d as r..or probably people from rest of India pronounce it wrong..I thought it has something to do with the language... But your comment suggests that may be you guys are actually taught like that in the initial years of childhood and even in schools may be. I have had a few Bihar friends, but I am always hesitant to ask them why they pronounce d as r, else they will think I am making fun of them. But, brother really I am not able to understand, same family of languages... So when actually that difference would have developed? don't know what is correct grammatically.

Chudiyaan is supposed to be pronounced as "Chu-ree-yaa" which means "bangles" (traditionally rigid bracelets made of metal, wood, plastic, or glass). Sometimes some Hindi Words have the letter "D" followed by a vowel in the middle of the word but pronounced as a "R" sound or sometimes as Rolling "R" sound. Yeah I know guys its complicated 😬😂
