How to get the good ending: After removing the handcuff, you have to go to the room where dad is patroling. His spotlight is faster than you, so you have to hide behind objects to progress. There is also a cupboard with a flashlight you need to progress(otherwise you'll have to return later to get it) Once you get to the door on the other side, you can see the locked door to the basement and your phone(which he took away). When you use the phone, he comes over there to investigate. You have to hide in the closet, and when he looks at the phone you have to do a pick-pocketing minigame. Once you get his key, you have to hide until he returns to his patrol room. Then you can use the key to access the basement and you can use the flashlight to find the metal detector. Once you did that, you have to return to the hallway next to your room through dad's patrol room. After unlocking the door with a makeshift key, you have to use the metal detector to play a minigane where you have to listen for the detector's beeps and avoid the mines. If you get through this, you get a cutscene of you running away from the house, with dad looking out the window. Once you're far away, he says "I guess i raised a winner after all. Hahahaha!" so, basicly you need to disctract dad in the living room by throwing paper clip in the kitchen because you wont need it later, then open the wardrobe and get Dad's metal detector, then carefully exit the courtyard and you're free!

I love how the son talks in gibrish. It's a good design because to us he is speaking nonsense because we never been through what he has been but there are subtitles through his POV to make us understand making the nonsense we perceive make sense.

Plot twist, he was a good father the whole time and he was trying to help his son escape while he himself was losing it and needed a way to save him despite his mind being destroyed, so he trained him in minesweeper and gave him a paperclip.

This completely changed the way that I will look at the “are you winning son” meme forever 😨
