You are on fire on this one, AJ! What an awesome communicator you are. No doubt, through your amazing work you have enriched, elongated, and even saved the lives of so many. Warm regards from Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪
Former sugar user here. I can tell you the first few weeks of obtaining feel really long. I was very tired. But, after that passed, I was no longer tired. No more afternoon slumps. No more fatigue that only a sugary treat could "cure". When eating sugar, I would have periods of absolute exhaustion. I just needed a rest all of a sudden (no health issues, just sugar slumps). I got off of desserts (and sodas, etc) and haven't had a slump like that in 2 years. I had no idea how level and steady my energy level could be through the entire day, week, etc. You are going to LOVE feeling this good!
❤❤❤ 🙏🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💯🎯 I ordered a Dominos Pizza in August and it was obviously a bad choice . Im usually eating super great foods . Locally grown veggies , local eggs , and fruits and smoothies . But my gut was suffering a long time with bloating and gerd . Well that pizza gave me ulcerative colitis . Thats when I like you said no to any surgery . I am allergic to most drugs , or have major side effects . I began researching how to stop my ulcerative colitis naturally . It lasted through xmas . But now it is so much better . Due to diet . Like you I cut out the flour sugar , coffee , and I dont drink alcohol , I cut out processed foods completely . Did some pureed veggie soups , and added Bitters , Slippery Elm , Activated Charcoal tablets , mint tea , Gotu Kola tea and Calendula tea , I added raw garlic and onions too to my dinners of usually pureed veggies and fruits . I would recommend the bitters and Calendula and Gotu Kola bulk organic herbs especially for healing the ulcers . The Gotu Kola is also an anti anxiety herb . It will cause sleepiness ! careful with it . The Calendula tea will get your gut back to normal I feel . Thank You !!! You are Awesome to listen too! I have been on disability for many years due to Dermatomyositis , and also I now have Hashimoto's , raynauds , and chronic fatigue with it . I love researching on alternative natural remedies . You are my tribe I feel 🙋🏻♀️🦄☮️
I love your passion and your story! You should be interviewed more often! To change subject i'm in awe with your beautiful skin and makeup. Can you share with us? Thanks!
Thank you AJ, that was wonderful I didn’t know half of what you talked about, I realize I have addiction red wine and sugar mostly honey and maple syrup and caffeine, I am going to have a mine set and really try. Hugs Bea
I cut out salt conpletely and then my blood pressure dropped very low like 70/50 consistently and I felt very sleepy and wanted to lay down at work...hard to do when you are a caregiver. I talked to my doctor and she said to add back salt which i did and my blood presaure is fine. I do just a minimal amount not even every day...a few times a week. I cant totally eliminate it like most of the plant based doctors reccomend.
I have been switching to wfpb since 2017. I was strict at home but when I would go or to someone's house I would eat unhealthy thinking it's just once or twice a week. But I still need to lose at least 25 pounds. My bp is borderline high. My cholesterol is high, ldl like 180, so terrible. I recently was tested for LPa and it's 168, super high. Statins don't even help with LPa, supposedly that can't be lowered. I'm a 62 year old woman. Because of family history I think a stroke would be a strong possibility in my future. That was my lowest point. I said to myself I have a choice to make, eat 100% compliant and hopefully live full of life and good health to a ripe old age or eat crappy food and be sick with the possibility of a stroke or PAD or who knows maybe even a heart attack. I feed myself with lots of youtube videos like this to keep me strong. Thanks chef AJ. I watch your youtube channel almost daily. And thanks to the host of this episode also. ❤
I understand the sugar part but soy?? I have a chaii soy latte everyday and it is something that I haven't really wanted to give up. But to be honest I have wondered about the soy because of the far and also the caffeine in the chaii. This is the first time I have heard it from somebody else.
