There’s a video of Dr. Sebi explaining that real sea moss is thinner/string-ier and makes less gel when you blend it, so it sounds like they were spot on when they ended up more watery!

One way to be sure you are eating "Real" moss is eat Chondrus Crispus. It can't be pool grown. Gracilaria is almost ALWAYS pool grown or grown on ropes in the ocean and grows year round which is why it's easier and cheaper to find. Chondrus does not grow year round and only grows in the Atlantic cooler ocean. Hope this helps someone 🫶🏾💞

FYI Jamaican Seamoss are directly from the sea, most Jamaicans grew up on Seamoss/Irish Moss, it's a staple and next to Jamaica's National Dish. Therefore you're not going to find anyone farming fake moss on the Island, those brothers will mess you up if you sell fake anything to them. lol

Excellent video. Very detailed and thorough. I have heard about Sea Moss and have never tasted it. Good to know what to look out for to avoid getting the inferior quality.I’ll probably try yours to dip my toes in. Question about the soaking and gelling process? Are you supposed to add the soaking water to the blender? I’m asking because I thought soaking was to get rid of possible impurities.

Soaking is to rehydrate it. The washing is to remove the impurities.

Thanks for exposing the false moss. I have a problem with the handling of the washed and the unwashed moss. As for the sampling of the moss, I believe there should separate spoons for each individual tasting. Thanks again for pointing out the fake moss. I pray success for your business.🙏🏼

Thank you for testing and reviewing them all. Based on your research and my comparisons, the kind I have is ocean farmed as the stems were long, and it gets very thick and has an oceanic smell. I still struggle with the ocean taste even with the lime, but at least it's legit.

Thank you so much bro. Im very happy to say I've luckily been buying the real deal thank God 😢.... but I definitely would have known the fake. I've never bought pre-made moss gel simply because some people do blender fresh method set and others cook it and do the melt down gel method which we all know cooks away some of the ingredients lol. Will definitely be following you after watching this. Not only do we eat it but I make hair and body care with nothing but organics that I use moss in certain recipes 🎉

There are about 200 varieties of Sea and Irish moss.I heard the thick one is fake gmo.Also it's very salty.The real ones are thinner with less salt on them.

All I know is it makes me feel good. I’ve been buying the same stuff (threw out the package but it’s called Irish Sea Moss I think from Ghana). But I’ve prepared a lil differently. First time and according to instructions I cooked it then blended it. It was the thickest n most ‘powerful’ to date and I only let it soak 2-3hrs or so. Since then no cooking yet seemingly less potent or I’m getting used to it? They were thinner as well but I think it’s cause I added more water. Maybe I should just cop your best on my next go round but I’m trying to find a consistency I can rely on. Thanks.

One thing I been noticing is the thickness of different brands. Sebi once explained that the fake one (or lab made) sea moss was not thin, but thick and clumped with sea and to avoid this one.
