Word to the wise: mystical gifts are NEVER to be sought out. Fruit, fruit, fruit. We are always to focus on producing fruit in keeping with repentance.

I had an experience where I was in turmoil over the liturgy wars...I took it to adoration one night and the thought was planted on my mind " I don't need any liturgy.. just look at me...look at ME." From this, I have found peace in the Eucharist. He is really there. Don't get caught up in the wars. God will take care of it.

I would like to know what Mr. Burke thinks of the ministries that are currently capturing Catholics that go by the names, Alpha & Unbound? In my view they both seem NOT to be Catholic and I would be hard pressed to find evidence of any one of the Saints who would line up to attend either of their meetings..thoughts, please?

For me the danger seems to be more in like with the issue of authority. Often it appears that these ministries pray over people as if they have authority, which can be problematic. Fr. Ripperger talks about this extensively. However, I’ve never personally seen what happens in these groups, so admittedly, my views are speculative.
