you mean an idiotic jury influenced by social media 'determined' that. All the evidence suggested AH and JD were mutually abusive. They're both gross. And calling it defamation was a terrible legal precedent for freedom of speech. The burden to make something defamation is very strong, a burden of evidence the trial didn't even come close to meeting. All that trial did was show how the masses are bunch of mindless automotons that just jump on the bandwagon rather than think for themselves. The jurors were just more bandwagoners.

I had tiktok installed on my phone for a couple of months and then deleted it because it's just full of 5-10 second attention grabbing nonsense. Mostly garbage videos. Very little of importance can be conveyed in that short period of time unless you have the attention span of a goldfish. And maybe that's what social media is molding us into. Or maybe it is representative of the average person. Either way, very disappointing... I don't even think I'm very smart, but this crap? It's pure idiocy.

And that's how all the major social media playforms are turning into. RU-vid has Shorts, Instagram has Reels. Videos are getting shorter because longer videos don't generate the views and likes a 5 second clip of a cat falling down stairs will. And it's all dependent on the money being pumped into these platforms. Vine was doing well, until they shut down, and now every social media is copying the exact same formula, with success.

The more I see women on Reddit, of all ages, as part of SW or not, post selfies & ask for people the "rate them," I think about how few people would ever do that offline. They wouldn't walk to the front of their class, or into the break room of their job or the middle of a Walmart & shout, "What do you random people think about me?"
