I’m frugal but can be cheap with certain things( laundry detergent,dish soap, generic brands) buy minimal clothes but nice( I’m always dapper). Avoid expensive dinners now( only very special occasions, I’ll splurge). Definitely avoid meeting at a bar/ restaurant for drinks and spending $$$ . Home socialising works for me
It’s great to know the difference! I can take a long time to make purchases on certain things and it’s good to know I’m frugal! I love for things to last!
I'm a musician and I bought the cheapest keyboard that was in guitar center in 2009, I still have it today and it still works just as good as the day I bought it
I am both. Actually my friends are frugal too so for birthday I made a cake. I took my kids for our first beach vacation, I reserved the hotel rooms in january and I had budget for it. Hotel was 2 stars and we spend all day playing and swimmimg at the beach. Clothes, I love clothes. Some of my best purchases were dresses for 10 euros. I think you can be frugal and cheap if you learn how to recognise good quality stiches from bad. I also shop second hand high quality items and I weight between for example what I want, options and delivery. I do make the most of sales on items I need. Like I needed to buy new washing maschine and old broke amd was full of mold. I knew that I wanted medium range and good quality. I take care of it. The only thing cheapness is never good when I buy shoes. If I am stingy my feet will hurt. I think its more about planning and living within means.
I'm definitely both frugal and cheap, when it comes to things that I don't find important then I'm cheap, but when it's things that I love and are important to me I'm definitely frugal.. like I wouldn't mind spending money so that I can be with my family and have a good time but I'm definitely cheap when it comes to the clothes I wear lol as long as it's stylish and cheap I'm buying lol
I'm frugal but I don't like the pressure to buy/contribute for something at work. There's always that person wanting to do this thing for a bday or Christmas gift exchange and I Definitely don't like to be involved ( if it's a bday. I HAVE to bc I don't want ppl looking at me weird but I think it's very unfair bc you don't know ppls budget/goals or 💫 circumstances
