In this video, we meet Steph. At 48, Steph experienced her first symptoms, notably very long periods that would last 21 out of 30 days. Her doctor said that wasn't okay; it's not how you're supposed to be living your life. Thankfully, an IUD provided a great solution for Steph, relieving her of the long periods.
However, things took a turn when Steph started to put on 50 pounds and was unable to lose the extra weight, no matter how hard she tried. She struggles with it every day, feeling uncomfortable and not recognizing the person in the mirror. This has also affected her confidence, which was never a problem before perimenopause, leading to insecurities and anxieties in social circles and at work- no longer feeling comfortable in her own skin.
Steph and her husband may live separate lives and sleep in separate bedrooms, but they are incredibly devoted to their two daughters and family life. Steph's aspiration for the future is to live an authentic life where she can truly be herself.

Menopause Symptoms

Am I In Menopause? PROJECT is a platform for radically honest storytelling that gives a voice to diverse individuals experiencing struggles with midlife women's health.
We’ve identified asked a selected group of individuals and asked them to participate in this a project so they can in which they share stories about their personal experiences with menopause symptoms. We hope that through this project of shared storytelling it will help us all learn more what’s happening to our bodies, give us tools and information that we can use for our own self-care, and remind us that we are not alone.
Am I in menopause? PROJECT uses personal shared stories to:
• Give hope to women who are struggling with menopause
• Normalize menopause experiences
• Give real life examples of what has worked for other women
• Showcase women’s courage in the face of this midlife journey
• And most importantly reassure women that they are not alone and that there is a way through
