The Fact that there are so many attorney videos giving advice on how to navigate the VA is proof enough in itself that the whole system sucks, there should just be an executive order to give all vets 50% of whatever the max disability rating is right now as a basic income , plus free health care to use with care providers of your choosing. Veterans only make up 6% of the population, they just print money out of thin air, why cant those who have served in wars be bumped up a tier in society? They can give money and housing to illegals but are not taking care of most Veterans.

The only way you will get the VA to do anything for you is to hire an attorney. The absolute worst agency in the U.S. government to deal with. They are totally useless.

I found out information I get on RU-vid give me contradicting information. I don't know which one is correct. You said there are asset limits , but some people said there is no financial question asked as long as you are over 70% disabled proof rating and work related.

We always highly recommend checking with an elder law attorney in your area for more accurate information for your state.

Wait until you see the paperwork. I filed a claim for my mom who is 100. Almost a year since I started the process. If she doesn't get benefit soon, she will have to leave her assisted living facility. Maybe they figure she will die first. Get all your papers together before you actually need any help.

You need to go to the regional office or call. It should not wait that long. You also can see claim information under benefit on the VA web.

Her Age Factor is supposed to expedite the process for her. Don't spend time waiting on the VA, etc. Go, or call her Senator's office ASAP, to explain the issues here. They will be able to help you. Best wishes, you are a goid daughter.
