Are You Prepared for an Ageing Population? A film funded by the British Society of Gerontology (BSG) 

This film production was organised by Dr Dalia Tsimpida and Christoph Heuser, with funding support from the British Society of Gerontology (BSG) Small Events Grant. In line with the BSG's aims, this film sought to foster a deeper understanding of Gerontology as a discipline, and its crucial significance in the context of an ageing population.
The aim was to promote advanced studies in Gerontology by widely disseminating pioneering research conducted by academics from the Department of Gerontology at the University of Southampton. This research advanced both theoretical and empirical knowledge in the field, offering valuable insights into the complexities of ageing.
During the film, we highlight the work of the British Society of Gerontology (BSG) and emphasise the multidisciplinary nature of Gerontology. We demonstrate how this field has real-world applications across various professional sectors and career pathways.
The film also explores the future of Gerontology and its vital role in shaping our understanding of an ageing society.
