Well this will be interesting - I'm having a circumferential tummy tuck and breast augmentation combined. Good thing my legs are super strong!

Hi Dr. Barrett I have a consultation with you in August for a breast augmentation. After watching this I am concerned I am not a good candidate because my BMI is in the obese range for my height. I am currently losing weight with keto and exercise and I’m down 40lbs so far. What do you suggest I do? Update 6/20/19 : I spoke to Kali today and she was wonderful.

It is possible to have a butt augmentation even when you’re skinny and don’t have fat in your body. If is possible, what method you use for that??

In these situations a buttock implant is an option or sculptra injections for buttock enhancement is an option. Nothing beats natural fat but there are other options for buttock augmentation.

I have a question on the reason for getting surgery. I have very, very uneven breasts and they have become a struggle when it comes to clothes or being able to even feel comfortable in a normal bra. But I wouldn't want to even them out by using big implants. Do you think it's possible to even out the bigger breast to be even like the small one?

Its possible to even out breast asymmetry without breast implants using mastopexy alone if there is a skin laxity issue. Otherwise, fat grafting can help with volume discrepancy if implants are not desired but this makes it much more difficult. A consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon would help you determine if avoiding using breast implants is an option.

finding the right Dr. is extremely challenging especially with the number of online platforms and resources available. There a lot of great Dr's available. Make sure he/she is a board-certified plastic surgeon. Definitely check to make sure your choice specializes in the procedure you want and spend the time to read through patient testimonials. There is a number of different sites where you can check for reviews (Realself, yelp, google, etc.). You can always pick up the phone and call around also, find an office you feel comfortable with and set up a few consultations.

as long as your hypertension is under control, you can be a candidate for a surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
