Are you renovating your lawn? How important is it to roll your seed in? I just finished renovating my lawn today. I did not roll in lawn seed. Now I just have to water.

Rolling your seed in insures that you get seed to soil contact. If you don't have a roller, water it really good and you should be fine

Polo love the content on this channel. Question ❓❓ Should i overseed a lawn that clearly has some fungus issues ? Can I address fungus and overseed simultaneously ?

🙂 I'm talking about this on my next video. If the fungus is still active, take care of that FIRST. If it's just damage from a fungus and the conditions are not right for the fungus to still be present, go ahead and overseed. You can always apply Propiconizole with your overseed as well. It will slow down the growth of your existing grass while the new grass is trying to establish

My question is about Bermuda grass. My lawn is about 80% Bermuda and about 20% tall fescue. I have tried several times to get rid of the Bermuda without success so I have surrendered to the Bermuda. I have seen several Bermuda lawns that look pretty good. So my question is what should I be doing now to a Bermuda lawn. Thanks for any suggestions.

First, where do you live at Rick? If you want to go with Bermuda, there's nothing wrong with it. You should be feeding it right now since it's hot because it's about to fall into dormancy. If you really want to change to bermuda, when it's dormant, spray that tall fescue out of it with some holy water because that is the only thing that's gonna be green in your lawn in the winter season. The only thing that will be left is the bermuda grass. There is more to it, but this is a start.

Loving the content! Really Helping me get ready for the season. Question: What TTTF fescue seed/cultivar would you recommend? Here in Central Cali where we get 110 degrees in the summers and 30 degrees in the winter.

Do you know what type of grass you have now? Is it Tall Fescue or Bermuda grass?

It’s is builder grade fescue. Lawn has been in place for 8 years with no reseeding, no aerating. Needless to say it needs some work. Last supply needed (and most important) is the most resilient TTTF seed. Recommendations?

If I want to do a Reno with over seeding should I kill the weeds I have first or I should overseed and then put some Meso down at the same time.

Hello Donta, if you don't want the Bermuda in your lawn, you need to try your best to remove it. You'll have to put your lawn on a 3 interval program in the summer by using pylex or ornamec over the top to remove it. A full renovation will get rid of it for the time being, but it will slowly come back

I’m not renovating my lawn, but we want to overseed out lawn. If we used Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns to spot spray weeds on Wednesday of this week, how long before we can overseed? The bottle says 30 days but the guy that mows our lawn said we can do it in a week. We’re so confused and could use your help and guidance.

Hello Ms Betty, when you spot spray those weeds, it's gonna take 1.5 to 2 weeks before those weeds even die. I would wait at least 3 weeks after you spray your weeds. Some weeds will die quicker than others, but I wouldn't chance it. Hope this helps 🙏🏾

My lawn took a beating this summer with early summer fungus, then drought and extreme heat. Not sure how much of it will come back. Looks like a full renovation this year. 🫤

Look at your lawn from a percentage perspective. If 50% of your lawn is good grass, just overseed and you'll be fine. If you have more bare spots, weeds, and dead grass than good turf, hit it with the holy water and do a full renovation. You still have time 💪🏾

@@PoloFieldsLawnService the only thing I’m uncertain about is how aggressively I treat the fungus…I’m assuming I want to hit it really hard with a curative rate of AzProp before I throw down my seed…?

@mypolitical Do you have an active fungus in your lawn now, or just damage from a previous fungus? Do you know what kind of fungus it was?
