We will talk about Fertilizers, Pesticides, Fungicides, etc. We will also talk about different products, laying stripes and dominating your block. Also you may catch me making some music every now and then just because thats another thing that I LOVE doing. So hop on board and lets run this marathon TOGETHER.
Bro this was the best video on brown patch I’ve watched hands down, and I’ve probably watched over 30 in the past few days! I put my disease ex down and hit it with bioadvanced today. Would you say it’s important to be bagging up the clippings for awhile until it’s gone or is it okay to side discharge or mulch following the 1/3 rule? Much love
💪🏾💪🏾I am working on me a money green test spot know.i just had a mulberry tree cut down last week now I got lots of sun in my backyard.excellent work as always.👍🏾
I realized Hydretain is a life saver in summer but because it draws mositure from the air it keeps things too moist and fungus happens. We're already too humid here at the CT coast
Whats up polo !! Hey so i put dwn a 7-0-20 yard mastery stress blend after my soil test came back!! This was 4 weeks ago it worker some what . Should i put dwn another round? Its a slow released fertilizer. My lawn just wont turn green lol fyi its a cool season lawn in southern cali . Idk if its a disease or just the hot weather !!
@yeremy7144 It's probably just hot weather. I would be careful when pushing your lawn with a lot of nitrogen during a stressful period. The best thing that you can do is water it and stay off of it. I cut mine once every 2 weeks now, and I haven't fertilized it in over a month
@yeremy7144 Yep, let it cool down a lil bit, bro. I know it's super hot over there. Tall Fescue wants to rest in the summer heat. You can apply nitrogen, but I wouldn't risk it. That's just my opinion. Now, if it was a Bermuda Lawn, that would be a different story
@@PoloFieldsLawnService thanks for info bro do you have an email ? Don’t know if you take emails i can snap some pics n send them to you just to to get your opinion regardless thxs
Finally, somebody that explains the disease process and emphasizes the treatment options. I am going to Home Depot TODAY and getting both products. Thank you!
Video was cleaaannn. Thanks, brotha. I noticed my lawn went dormant sooner than normal and I’m confident it’s because I was being too cheap on the water. Going to water my lawn right now.
@eg7737 How I normally do it is I will apply it in the morning, let it sit on the grass blades all day, and then water it in the next morning. If the temperatures are gonna be in the 90s, I will apply it late in the evening and then water it in the morning
Great information and 1 thing that a lot of people don't know about is like in your photos one of the parts that's burning 🔥 is the grass edge alongside the concrete and asphalt. They heat up way more alongside the edges and are more subseptable to burning 🔥 faster than other parts of our lawns. They will extend out further based on how those areas were finished prior to being landscaped! Some contractors will cover up gravels, stones, wood, wire mesh, cement pieces etc. with fill dirt and topsoil before seeding. What you endup with are areas that hold more heat which in turn will cause heat stress faster at these areas
Had a beautiful stand.. very healthy and green till late June here in DC area. Anyway, let's not forget the need for Aeration so that water has a chance to soak in. Roots in search for water have to go deeper, but may not be able, expecially if you only have an inch of soil on top of clay. Looks like with some near brutal aeration (tow behind spike water filled aerator) with heavy watering may have resurrected my near dead lawn. Plugger Rental is a rip off.. I'd need it for several days. Took me a few cycles to break thru with a spike aerator, plus plugger gets plugged is a big maintenance problem. Some areas took Water/Aerate/Water/Aerate to get the spikes to penetrate. One area that was near concrete, I actually injected (a Root Fertilizer hose implement) water to break it up, and mix in some good soil. Will know in a couple weeks.. mid July here now. Looks greener already, but a ways to go. Last year was a total loss with this fancy over Hyped Fescue.. if it Dies, going Zoyzia.. best grass ever, but takes a few years (4 or 5) to fill in.
@sicdyna Were in the middle 90s. Humidity makes it feel like the 100s. We received some rain today, and it will cool down for a day or so, but we will be back to the normal highs next week
@davidsaunders7118 Yes, I have mulch a couple of inches away from the base. I know it doesn't look like it from the video, but trust me, it's NOT all the way up to the base of it
Salute Polo.. You always do some of the best work on RU-vid with the lawn and landscaping.. Btw, could you do a video one of these days discussing your journey from the start in this game? I'm also a landscaper and would like hear your story, how you got so good at the craft, ect
@jmfitness1583 First, you shouldn't be watering at 5 pm. This could raise the risk of your grass blades remaining wet while you go into the night, and that could cause a disease or insect problem. Second, how long are you watering? I have a video that shows you how to water your lawn in the summer. 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b0GfPxPpIVc.htmlsi=yLUYNlFxgpKfmOpz If you have time, view that video above.
