I had so many good stories from living there. I miss it a lot. The best times I ever had was going to the local comedy shows. There's so much great talent locally.
I was once tackled and detained by security force inside Wynn casino, i was guilty of being shabbily dressed, visibly stoned and probably smelling like weed. Even if it's legal now, I learned then to look good whenever I'm in Vegas to get a better guest experience.

I just returned from a 5 day stay in Vegas. I wasn't prepared for the increase in homelessness since my last visit in 2011. The day after I left, the poor soul at 3rd and Charleston got killed and part of his face eaten. I drove past that bus stop at least 10 times during my stay. That was only one mile from my downtown hotel. This was my farewell visit. Life got cheaper in Vegas since 2011. Steven, you might consider leaving after all...
I’ve been to Vegas more than a dozen times. Not once have I been afraid or accosted or really harassed. Sure there are annoying people along the way. But my Vegas experiences have always been great.
I had my debt card scanned on the strip in Vegas. It was in my phone case & in my front pocket. I never used the card or even removed it. I started to get small charges, figured out what was going on and shut it down from the bank app. Yeah, I get chased by those “ladies” of the night if I walk the strip late at night………. 😮
Been to Vegas 40+ times since 1978 , never really felt overly cautious on the strip. My last trip was Sept. 2019 BC and all was fine. Since then, alot changed rapidly, higher fees and costs for everything, poor rewards programs, more homeless on the strip causing more altercations to happen and more crime in and outside of casinos. The new trend that is happening, especially for those who are frequent visitors , is to stay off the strip Green Valley Ranch Casino, Durango, Red Rock, Palms etc and take a cab or drive to the strip for a day/ evening day or two and go back away from the craziness.
I am from NYC. That was an advantage I had, when I first visited. Watch your back, front and sides is everyday life for us. But although NYC is a walking town. The amount of walking you do in Vegas is deceiving. In NYC if you can see the building, that means it is not far. Oh boy that definitely does not apply in Vegas. I was ready the next time I went.
Hi Steven! I've watched you off and on for a while, and am subbing again. I'd consider a chest bag, instead of a backpack. Much harder to have your bag opened without your knowledge.
Anywhere. You be surprise who’s try to score. I don’t bring very expensive things when I travel. A guy, believed he was setup by his waitress. After leaving the restaurant, his Rolex was taken by two guys waiting.
@@jerrysanders9101 Yes, there are those "BIG" watches that were popular about a decade ago. However, Rolex is not in that camp but much larger and bulkier than they were when I purchased my GMT Master back in 1984. The newer models are larger to accommodate the sapphire crystal - I presume. One would also presume what model Rolex was in the story, some ugly gold model or a "tool" Rolex.
