Ciara Doherty is joined by Michael O'Regan, Senator Lynn Boylan, Senator Timmy Dooley & Alanna Cunnane to discuss the possible disconnect younger people have with pro-IRA songs and the Troubles.
Michael O'Regan states that in a post-Good Friday Agreement Ireland we must be "very careful," that pro-IRA songs are not appropriate anymore.
Lynn Boylan points to the Sky Sports interview where Rob Wotton asked Chloe Mustaki if Irish players needed education about Irish history calling it "deeply offensive."
When asked if young people don't understand the cultural history of pro-IRA songs, Alanna Cunnane points to how well the Irish team handled the situation and their respectful apology.
Timmy Dooley thinks "lots of young people" will reflect on partaking in pro-IRA chants now.
Ciara points out how normal it is to hear pro-IRA songs in a sporting context and how this is not an isolated incident.
