I woke up and realized what great perfume is. I never liked the designer garbage, I’ve been into Niche for a while now but I have only just heard of Areej Le Dore. I got to the website too late and was only able to buy Grandenia which I love very much. I did buy a sample of the Oris and love it. I’d love to try all of his past collections but again I’m too late so I can’t get any, nobody will share or sell me any. I feel like u do about Grandenia, I crave it so much . I sprayed it once on my arm and cleaned house, did dishes for hours and worked a full day and it’s now 1am and I can still smell Grandenia at 75%. Oh I adore it . It’s a powerhouse..I’ve asked Russian Adam if he would make a beautiful perfume for us females using Taif rose, ambergris, Mysore sandalwood, amber , some musk, and a lil Oud.. I would just LOOOOVE for him to create a Mysore sandalwood with the most beautiful rose in the world. If I were very rich, I’d pay him anything he needs to create this perfume for me. And give it my name Rose de Elise . Well a girl can dream ....
Excellent review, I'm glad you made it on my favorite house. Thank you. I own most, was lucky to discover and successfully blind buy. It's so hard to rank as they are all great, I'd have trouble, so good job in doing this. I'm looking forward to receiving his sixth collection!
Thanks for sharing! Thanks for sharing! Yes they are all good. It's such a great collection to watch age. Yes 6th collection is coming both look really great so far to me.
Really enjoyed this. Unfortunately I am very late to Areej le Dore. Just bought my first bottle and I love it. So sad that I missed out on so many of these. Looking forward to the new releases.
Have no fear. Always more great compositions to come. Need to watch and support work that's being done like this. Both perfumes in new collection are looking pretty good.
Great list. Love hearing your thoughts about these masterpieces. If you ever feel like getting rid of Koh-i-Noor, please let me know. It's one of those that I started appreciating too late, after it was loooong gone..
Great to see someone doting on ALDs like i do! Walimah attar is my no 1. I like it slightly better than the spray. Needless to say i bought 2 back up attars too😁. Great to see Indolis, Flux de Fleur and Walimah in your top 5. They were the slowest to sell out. I love Indolis too. Such a complex floral. The best Jasmine fragrance i own! The original Siberian musk is amazing and the second version is great too. Surprised it came so low down😊. Love War & Peace too. But then you are right it is so difficult to rank them because they are all amazing on their own.
And then you have Ottoman and Malik. I really can't believe the change in Malik I am kicking myself for not getting the attar. But I have Walimah, it's so so good. So Siberian Musk I just think he perfected it with Russian Musk and Siberian became like a second cousin. They accomplish the same thing I just go for Russian Musk so much more. If Siberian Summer were my first from the house and I never knew of the others I would be content with it. Let's hope he doesn't make something to replace Russian Musk😊😊😊.
@@TherapeuticFragrance personally i prefer Siberian musk( even the second version) to Russian musk though i love RM too. I should have gone for the Malik al Taif attar too. Those who have got it say it is brtter than the spray. I just gotthe SM2 Baikal Gris, and Oud Luwak attars.
Yeah literally didn't even think twice about buying Malik. I randomly sprayed it on a week later and the regret. I know this would be the best attar, just so much of that beautiful rose and punchy Hindi. Oh well. I can't imagine how pungent Luwak is as an attar:)
You surprised me, I thought Antiquity would be much taller and I didn't expect Russian Musk in the first place although on the other hand I haven't tried most of these perfumes. I have these two, SM II and W&P, and I smelled PDO SS and BG, the others I haven't smelled ever. I respect your opinions. Cheers!!
I have only 4. 1. Malik Al Taif - addictive from 1st sniff oud-mix, blue cheese like, fantastic stuff. 2. Plumeria De Orris - big strong earthy, buttery and powdery bomb with a bit of frangipani, extreme longevity. 3. Baikal Gris - strong green balsamic and fresh at same time, it is a bit sweet and minty on my skin which bothers me a bit. 4. War and Peace II - great artistic expression, from dark and very dry start (which lasts too long) to most beautiful musky ending.
I think I sent my sample of Atlantic Ambergris to Pep a couple years ago. I thought it was beautiful but simple. Some say it is very similar to Baikal Gris, so I think you are right in not trying to track these others down. Enjoy what you have.
Am totally agree with you from 20to 10 I have tried most of them, very hounset arrange ,but I missed you after that , I haven't try the top ten , except indolis that what I have tried it's Soo different elegant perfume ,hope one day got my nose on Siberian musk ,,, thank again
Hey Brandon, I really appreciate your feedback on my journey of perfumes. Have watched alot of your reviews and have really appreciated your feedback. I have a simple question....I know you have reviewed Areej Le Dore in depth which is one of my favorite perfumers. My questions is can you do an depth top 10 on Ensar Oud perfumes which is also one of my favorite perfumers? I would love your insight on this brand Thank you for all you do for the community
Traditionally samples have been around $40 US. Yes if you wait for samples a couple are already going to be gone. Take Antiquity last collection. But at least you get to smell them. There is great content with that.
Love the video! Where would you rank the anonym ambergris fragrances in with these? Would you say gold has an edge over Bakal Gris? Or does the complexity of BK out-do gold?
Great list. I suppose my OEI is my unicorn. Although, sometimes I look back at my old Facebook message when someone offered me the whole of the first series, 2 sprays missing from each, at 80% of the retail. If. Only. I’d. Known. My other bigger regret, only buying 9ml of Inverno Russo. That stuff is probably the most sensual juice I own. Over the last year it has undergone a transformation, and is definitely in my top 2 or 3 from the house. Another regret. I sold Oud Picante. But, I sold it to buy Russian Oud, and I’m still happy with that trade off. If you want someTring close to Our Picante I suggest you try Magus by TRNP. I must say, I’m very excited by the sound of Agar de Noir.
Oh man if you could turn back time on the first two series sale. I feel that for you. Haven't done Magus will add it to sample. So far out of the gate he is giving us some ingredients that we don't have access to. I can't wait to sample that birch tar. Still want to know why it is garment only. Scary coming from RA.
What a great list! My favorites are Malik Al Taif and Walimah, but I missed the early releases that are so special. Do you know what the best temperature range is for storing these naturals? I have them at about 60-63 degrees, but I don't know if they should be kept cooler. Thanks Brandon, awesome video as always!
60-63 is perfect. 73 is where half of mine are kept and I have a wine cooler for the other half. People without AC start to worry after 80 degrees. A cheap cooler is your friend in heat streaks.
Hi Brandon 👋 Thanks for this! Say, which could a woman pull off and turn heads? The ones that caught my eye are 1) Walimah 2) Baikal Gris 3)Indolis 4) Russian Oud 5)Russian Musk 6) Ottoman Empire 1 or 2 I am curious which Russian Adam perfume from the whole house would suit a woman nicely. Please and thanks . Walimah stands out the most. I hope samples are available. I do realize that batches will vary since Adam handcrafts everything right down to the detail....Please and thanks! I am glad I found your channel. I own lots of raw materials and I am a perfume hobbyist/connoisseur. I am new to oud. I love contrasts. I love exquisite ingredients. I just don't enjoy soapy notes (like you) and I don't like powdery dominant accords (especially if they come across as synthetic). Looking for beast mode because fragrance does not stick to my skin..... so I love base notes :)
Hey Sue my favorite would be Flux De Fleur on a woman if it ever gets remade. Loud sexy and tons of musk and oud. Currently Musk Lave would be good not as loud as other but good. Of course Walimah, I do have word that it would be made again so look out for that. Little less sexy more sensual, but great perfume. Thanks for reaching out.
@@TherapeuticFragrance unfortunately never tried it :( have only tried his first collection and the latest one. His first collection was out of this world.
Malik 6/10 ?? don´t make me laugh.. It´s one of the best (maybe not the most complex composition) but the best rose oud combo i´ve never smelled, specially the attar. It´s one of my winners without any doubt and one of the most I enjoy using beside the Ottoman Empire (first version)
Alej, When Malik first came out it was not that enjoyable for me. But it has become as you said very very good for me. I know a few people that don't care for the profile of the taif rose and aren't won over. That's what makes this fun it's different for everyone.
what do you think about agar de noir? looks promising but not crazy original to me , I hope the bottles will be like the third or forth collection , wood and leather
Forgot to add comment about bottles. YES Leather and Wood. He's said before if he goes gold it would be metal cap, but I wouldn't mind the gold caligraphy and wood with stones think it would add great contrast. The way the wood picks up the scents is divine.
@@TherapeuticFragrance my Russian oud cap does smell divine , I think that what makes both Russian oud and Malik Al taif great is oud musk combo. By the way the original haxan is being split right now on basenotes if you are interested
Brandon, what temp would you recommend setting my wine chiller to in order to both preserve and age these natural frags? I've got it set to 55F now; what's yours set to?
62 for me. I use for Cigars as well that's the lowest I like to take them. I don't think you can take the perfume to low at all. Say that in case your using for wine also.
@@TherapeuticFragrance Do you think that 55F is too low? My wine chiller is for fragrances only. I'd like to think that 55F is optimal for preservation but I wonder this temperature is conducive to aging the naturals.
Funny enough your bringing up points I haven't researched. If colder temps stop the aging process. I never thought of putting it colder. Will start to look into it myself and get back to you here.
@@FragSyndrome @therapeuticfragrance I'm actually a wine making student/ fragrance lover. So I think I can chime in. Wine is ideally aged at 55 due to the solubility of oxygen. As the temperature goes up, more oxygen will be able to dissolve in solution, aggressively increasing the rate at which it will age. Ideally for aging, you want long, slow oxygen exposure, which is why wine bottled with a cork, and not in cans...you still want some soluble oxygen exposure, just not a lot of it. 55 is also the natural geothermal "cellar" temperature; before wine fridges, people would keep wine in the basement in order to age it for longer, and the best wines tend to bestowed in basements that were 55. I imagine that the same is true for attars and natural oils. I hesitate to say the same for perfumes, because they contain such a high amount of alcohol, they are less likely to oxidize at all. (Think about how cognac is stored in solera barrels for hundreds of years).
