Comparison between Arena of Valor and the chinese version of Honor of kings. Some of the heroes has similar skills but not fully same. Arena of Valors hero model is originally inspired by Hoks heroes.
If there is any suggestions or mistake please let me know in the comment section. I am just a newbie youtuber who likes to make content so pardon my mistakes, thanks.

Arena of Valors heroes are directly inspired from Honor of kings. Some of the heroes has slightly different skills and passive but most of them are similar to each other.

Aov characters design is good while in hok its really hard to tell difference between them during fight. And remembering these chinese name is too hard.

To be honest, Me and my friend refers them either by their ability, easily identifiable features or using the name of someone similar to the characters. Princess Frost? Elsa, easy. Kui? Franco from MLBB or I like to call him KuiKui cause I need to put a cute name on a scary thing. Ming? Evil Estes. Libai? I call him Cibai, a curse word used by Malaysian which is funny enough one letter off from Libai. Also who the hell decided that he needs that many invulnerabilities in his kit? That bastard always disappears at the last moment either as an ally or as enemy.

@@Zuhfnyr what laziness and shit? English and Spanish come from latin, and the majority of the west world uses spanish and English so those names are easy. Of course it's easier to remember Hercules, Caesar or Apollo (which we are used to) than Liu Shan (or whatever the robot kid is called). If you are Chinese, Chinese names will be easier for you for obvious reasons. What were you expecting? They even had to cut Ming's name or Arli's because we are not used to Chinese!

I hope both moba can be famous worldwide. It's okay if aov/hox are not famous in my country, but famous in so many countries. So the international tournament will be much fun and everyone talks about this worldwide. It's just my dream 🥺

a dragon rider, tinkerbell, a monster beetle, a bipedal hammerhead shark with a spear😅, a bipedal elephant with wings😂, a pair of racoons in an armor, Krizzix whatever he is😂, Arduin, Omega and Nakroth. Not to mention Ryoma🔥man AoV's character design was very creative imo.💯

HOK hero designs are 99% e-boys and e-girls lol. AOV also has smoother animation for me.

AoV was the international/global port of HoK/SoK since HoK was China-exclusive back then. That's why if you're an AoV player you're pretty much familiar of the playstyles of most HoK heroes! I'm slowly climbing to grandmaster one last push!!

王者荣耀里的角色大部分是古代神话或者真实存在的角色(比如成吉思汗，武则天，嬴政)所以这些英雄的名字翻译成外语比较难，aov大部分是架空的角色，翻译起来比较简单

These 2 games are basically reskins of each other but AOV takes a more Western Approach and HOK completely embraces its asian style

Batman and Joker are now a skin, their new replacement are Kaine and Stuart respectively. Superman and The Flash will also soon have a replacement as well.

Aov is the same dev with hok. Some character they change in terms of skill and looks some maintained for example butterfly.

Level infinite are distributor, the developer are timi from tencent. HOK are coming first in china, then they make aov for global audience. Tencent trying merge this 2 games, but garena (the diatributor for taiwan, thailand, and vietnam) have so much income from aov cause it is so famous there. So garena refuse the idea to merge it. Then they transfering the hero/skin to make a cross fight battle arena. The idea for a big tournament for this 2 games actually coming at 2022 or 2021 cmiiw. But i dont know why they cancel it.

They need to use some of the AOV designs. HOK designs are mostly generic, not much diversity.

I see Hue being replaced by Ata in Honor of Kings as of the Global Launch back in June 19, 2024. Same with Wukong, given the same name, and Arthur is still the same Arthur back in the old days.

Arena of Valor is the global version of Hok, initially Hok was not released globally and was only for China, each region had a different name for Thailand.
