This really cheered me up since yesterday I found out that a horse I've been seeing and taking care of owner died who was also the manager of the stable so they had to sell her to a really good family, but the new owner of the barn said I could not come to that stable anymore because I do not board a horse there so now I can't ever see her again but this made me so happy to watch so thank you!!!!
I think you and Lola did great for your first event out she is going to be a bit rusty but you will get back into it the more you do and the more Lola gets back into the groove of eventing she will be ok and I thought I saw Tina in the background can’t wait until you and Tina are back out together because I know she has a lot going on at the minute but you will be back together in no time I think this vlog was ok so thank you and also great to see Chris and Narla
I enjoyed your vlog & seeing your smiling face. A few teething problems - totally understandable after the last 12 months. Lola will get back into her groove. Well done Emily, you kept going & didn't give up. Over a lot of the jumps, you both looked fab - collected, rhythmical, yet keeping enough impulsion going. Upwards & onwards🙂
It must be weird being back out there again, so dont beat yourself up. You are both not used to being around other people and horses in a competition environment. I thought you both did well and I loved your blog. Remember be kind to yourself and Miss Lola. It was your first trip out 🥰
Thank you so much for always sharing the bad bits - my nappy mate had a meltdown at our first jumping competition at the weekend and wouldn’t engage with the fences at all (we only got over fence 1 because she spooked just before it and forgot she was napping!!). We’ve been working so much on my jumping confidence at home that I didn’t consider that we might need to get to some different venues for her x
Awww thank you. We all have bad bits it's the nature of life. You definitely can't beat arena practice, like I said not to be competitive but just to get the round and practise under your belt xx
Thoroughly enjoyed this! At last Nuts and bolts riding ( Lola spooking!!), not all perfect, pretty, pretty stuff- Yay! Well done you. Thought you did well staying calm, rode through problems. No wonder your ponies love you! Pat on the back girl!!
You and Lola looked amazing out there. Considering it's your first show in awhile u and Lola are bound to be a bit rusty. I dont know why but I heard David Attenborough's voice when u where showing us Tina lol. "Heres the rare and elusive Tina Wallace in her natural habitat taking pictures of the horses lol"
I loved this vlog! So happy you and Lola are back out and about!! Can’t wait to see more of you two smashing it and also have Tina and Banksy together!! Oh, and Nala, so good for her first show! Love from California⛰🌲☀️💙
Great vlog Em!!😘 It was so lovely finally seeing you out competing again. I think you did a brilliant job getting Lola past the blips she had, you didn't give up and finished both courses. So well done hun and looking forward to more vlogs from you! 💖 Nala is looking as adorable as ever too, bless her 🐾❤
I was so excited to see "eventing vlog" in the title! Em, the "it only works if you hit the play button" had me just 😆 I just burst out laughing. When someone else describes your life 😄
Good vlog! All of it. It was honest. Curious why Lola shyed in 2nd round? People at that corner? If so, it would be courteous for them not to be there. Congrats on getting out for a local competition. Important for the head. Be safe, ride on. 🐎😎
thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I think because it was leaving the arena and away from the exit. Not sure the people had anything to do with it to be honest xx
So ridiculous you're forced to wear a mask when the CDC published the data about transmission and it is minuscule; I can't wait for these stupid C-19 rules to be over. We need to get back to living again and not just existing. I am so glad to see comps back.
Emily your such a lovely lady and you put a 100% into Lola but sometimes it just frustrates me to see Lola not giving you back what you deserve. That was naughty what she did, plain and simple. You ride so lovely and it would jus be nice if Lola could stop letting you down with her silly ways and just be more genuine for you.
Horses aren't 'naughty'. They don't wake up thinking 'don't feel like it today, going to be naughty'. This is a thoroughly well schooled mare who has had a break from competition because of covid. And just like all of us who come to something we've not done for a while, she is not yet quite running as well as she will be later in the season. There was far, far more to like about her outing and Emily is sensible to focus on that.
You obviously have never own a mare then? Of course it was naughty of her!! She was being a nappy madam! And I’m not just talking about this competition, look back at all Emily competition vlogs. Yes sometimes she can be good but more often she is naughty. Plain and simple. There was absolutely nothing for her to be nappy about! She has been there schooling plenty of times and she of just gone for Emily. I understand that horses can make the odd mistake but Lola knows every trick in the book. And she never gives Emily an easy enjoyable time. Like I said, Emily is a lovely rider and rides her well but sometimes you think, oh for gods sake Lola just be a good girl and do it for your mum!
@@elliefreddy9008 an interesting read to understand why Lola may have reacted the way she did is Temple Grandin's book Animals in Translation. I hope you get the chance to read it if you haven't already. I found it useful.
