This was the moment that Queen knew she had arrived. The reaction at the end was amazing! I got a little bit misty thinking about Queen and how she touched so many people around the world.
Aretha' eaction to the audience praising her makes my cry a river. How can she be so great,so beautiful, so untouchable but yet still have a demeanor of a shy, doen't-quite-understands-just-yet-that-she-is-gold little teenage girl. People be getting on the audience like they had seen this type of thing before, of course they had to warm up a little first, Aretha was not something people had seen before in the 60's really. By the end they gave her a roaring standing ovation and many of them were dancing.
The middle one is her baby sister Carolyn…aside from actually writing some of the Queen’s biggest hits she was in charge of the dance moves for the background singers when in concert.
I just rewound about 5 times to hear the one background singer let out a "Just" when everyone else stopped at 2:15 😂 but this is a stunning rendition. And the audience reaction after the song ends!!
I wish we were able to get Aretha's reaction to this clip before she passed. I wonder if she would would get emotional as this was such a poingnant time in her career and the culture, or if she'd be sassy classic Aretha and say something about how they better stand up for how good she looks in that dress haha ❤
The words on everyone's foreheads is distracting. This is a pretty good recording. One of the best from the time, with I could see faces instead of words. Love Aretha.
Ok so she is a beautiful lady and she is perfect the way she is it don’t matter what Skin color you have she is still herself that’s how god made her show some respect!!
