Ray Charles in top form on the UK show 'Saturday Live' broadcast 8 June 1996. I can personally recommend his autobiography 'Brother Ray' if you want to learn more about the genius of Ray Charles amzn.to/2BvGPXL
And 8 years later he died in peace. Everyone, promise me, never to forget this legend! He's been living his life and he put a smile on all our faces with his music. I just love seeing this man smiling and playing the piano, enjoying what he's doing! LONG LIVE RAY CHARLES!
Just figured it out that he meant beside being blind and cant see anything, you are in good hand, you can do everything you like if you have the will for it. Took me 2 weeks to understand it. How stupid.
That is the skill! Practice your craft so much until it looks effortless. I bet a lot of rehearsals made the performance look like they’re not even trying on the night!
I saw him once when he was getting pretty old. He was led to the piano, as usual to his lack of sight, but he wasn't having an easy time walking and seemed pretty frail. But once he started playing and singing, it's like he lit up and was a like a young man again.
It's not related, but years ago when I worked in a care home I saw something similar. Those people were in such bad condition, but after getting glass of wine suddenly back to life.
I remember when I visited my grandmother in our small town, She dropped some serious wisdom on me. She said "Grandson, one day some people will waste their time reading your comment.
que legal ele canta e aumesmo tempo ele sorri e empresionante nao emtendo nada de engles mas gosto muito das musicas. esse cara e um genio 17. 1. 2022. Natal Rn
Not in this world you wouldn't .. This world is not meant for exceptions like Mr Charles. He was far too kind, far too good to be in this world as we know it. People like Ray Charles would be far more appreciated about 120 years back
He had his demons, a childhood trauma and a severe drug addiction that he battle for a long time. Talent is all well and good, but it takes a lot of work and talent does not make you happy!
You we gott IT! A while in reď. You v got talent fór a sleeo, And walking, talking ,,dancing & singing fór yourself. Ať Once YOU Are. Do not exist no one crazy, ONLY poor.
Even as an older man, you can tell nothing has left him in terms of hitting the beat. His voice changed, it happens to all of us, in some way..but he was still full of the music he wrote as a young man ❤️ what an undisputable figure of modern culture.
my cousin whos fourish always bobs back n fourth like ray so we got him to put sunglasses on n do it and he had the biggest grin, he was like a small ray charles it was hilarious!
@@naminaj6755 I didn't claim that, I said there were old jazz/blues legends in the 90s, who are mostly dead today. And in 30 years it will be the same for the rock legends who are currently alive.
Just look at _American Bandstand_ clips from the 50s. There have always been out-of-time people, and sadly, there always will be. It makes gems like this even better though :)

Ray Charles having a very angry conversation with an imaginary woman, while having the worlds biggest smile on his face. I'm pretty sure he never wants to see her again after this conversation...
