Wasn't she just the baddest? She would have destroyed any person alive with her on stage that day. Some may have the range, some the agility, but she has a deadly combination of both. And those effortless, lightning-fast musical instincts can't be beat, neither that SOUL. And the phrasing, timing, dynamics, tone, diction, personality. The genius that is Aretha!
I'm sorry you all had to come back again. Just seeing the young gentleman getting & feeling everything Aretha is giving vocally & emotionally despite the generation gaps, is tremendously transcendent. Aretha, with as many of the others that I love and you all could figure them out because I love people that can sing. Aretha stands alone as the best vocalist ever. The Queen of SOUL!! 👑👑
Ladies and gentleman just FYI, Those notes that Aretha starts the song with are called bubble notes. She was the first to put them out there. Luther Vandross studied and learned the technique of those notes from Aretha. He made them a part of his signature style.
I had to stop. I could not even get through the whole clip. But I am going right back. I had to say I'm so glad you have pulled a video from her at this age. Everything she's done has been excellent!! However Aretha from 31 to 34/35. It's completely completely unlimited vocaly!! 👑👑 Thanks!!
WE NEED YOU GIVING US SOME COWBOY CARTER REACTIONS, SIR!! 😭😭 Personally, I request (in order) • YA YA (plus the first part of OH LOUISIANA bc the vocals continue into the intro) • AMERICAN REQUIEM • DAUGHTER
I never believed there would ever be anyone who loves "Aretha"as much as me and Mama'. Needless to say Moms was by initial "Ree, MC😊.. For her it was a generational thing." Still at 83... The mention of one of God's greatest voices name. Evokes memories so emotionally traversing." Happy time travel😀. Filled with the purity and residual joy all who come to listen just once will never forget... 😅😂Thank you so much... ❤️,✌️ and Soul😊😀😅😂
I love seeing your reactions to the legendary Miss Franklin, you cannot do nothing but appreciate an immortal talent. May i suggest you to react to yolanda adams -georgia on my mind? as you know, Miss Adams never dissappoints.
I liked En Vogue's remake, and Dawn Robinson did a good job. However, I grew up in the 70s. So, there isn't another soul on planet Earth can sing THIS song like Aretha Franklin. Nobody. Plus, I had the "Sparkle" soundtrack.
Recommending u listen to adios by linda ronstadt, the way we were by dolly parton, ball and chain by Janis joplin and something in the air tonight by Patti labelle
