This performance is one of my favorites. It's a moment captured when they are happy and carfree. Both of their vocals were Great!!! You could tell they really loved each other here.. Thank you for reacting to this one. ❤🙏🏽
She got boo’d earlier in her career…during her first album era. Whitney loved this man and during this time they were happy and it showed so much. I love this song and this performance was epic.
@@DanielleGillmoreJohnson It wasn’t so much as the album type, it was the way she sang-she had diction and would pronounce the words correctly so our own people called her Whitey Houston-led by the oh so religious Al Sharpton. It hurt her but she moved on. The funny thing is that Whitney was first and foremost a gospel singer, especially live-her performances live were rooted in gospel.
@@odumosuolusegun2781 I was typing too fast and doing too much. I knew it was back in 1989 that she got booed but I was getting the album release dates incorrectly.
Yes, that hurt her so much it made her cry her eyes out! Music genre's were rigidly defined! So, either you were this or that! But, not multiple genre's and the genre that you were put into rigidly defined your career! @jobuck879
YESSS a Whitney 1994 reaction (my fav year vocally) This performance is LEGENDARY I loved this couple so much they had SO MUCH swag and Bobby SANG that night ! 3:37 OMG the chills that I got WOW Please react to Beyoncé live Dangerously in love, Flaws and all live in Atlanta at Renaissance world tour ADAAAAAAM
I love the concept of the song. No one understood why they were together and this was their way of saying they’re actually perfect for each other. This easily my favorite performances❤️🥰 the cute communication felt like they weren’t performing but talking to each other
They both killed it😂. I recommend If you say my eyes are beautiful by Whitney and Jermaine Jackson. They both sing their asses off on it, they have some great duets together.
Yes. It was the same night. It was the Soul Train Awards in 1989. Fun fact - she was actually booed the year before in 1988 as well. but it wasn't quite as loud. I think history has been kinder to her, but ironically there's still universal agreement that the album for which she was nominated in both those years - Whitney - is easily her least essential, least soulful, and most nakedly commercial and maudlin. Bobby is a pure open heart. It's why he was the biggest star of his generation for about 5 years. This was his strongest vocal era
Please do some more Mariah Carey songs from the early days albums! And more Luis Miguel pleasssssse!!! He has so many songs with amazing vocals. Did u know that Mariah and Luis dated for a while by the way?
