I’ll take this over any other gun on the market right now. It fixes almost everything Glock refuses to (for me) It conceals great, and it is very reliable! I blacked out the rear cocking indicator (Sharpie) and painted the front sight with some orange glow in the dark paint. I have been carrying it for about 6 months and I haven’t gotten bored with it at the range yet.
I guess I'm in the minority on this one. I find the ergos more comfortable with this gun over the Glock 19. The recoil was very manageable. I didn't mind the 5.5-6 lbs trigger because of the clean break and excellent reset that follows. It's by far better than any stock Glock trigger I've felt. I prefer the look as well over the boring Glock look. Fully ambidextrous controls that actually work. I paid $425 for it and I think it's a good value for all of the features it comes with. Is it as good as the P-10C? I would say no but it's not that far off.
I paid $360, I own 21 pistols , and this gun was the size I've been looking for. Smaller than my G19 , lighter , comfortable, feels better than my G19 in my hand . The CZ P10c (big to carry) edges it in many categories except for size, btw its trigger has actually gotten better after 1000 rds. Bottom line is buy it. No plate for optics which sucks.
Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has them. I can't stand this guy review because it's all personal shit instead of actual review of the gun. What do you expect from a GLOCK FAN GUY???? I would RATE his review 1 out of 10. Enough said. 🤣🤣
I think the original Arex Zero One is awesome, but with the CZ P10C, the M&P 2.0 and Glock 19 being available I'd be interested to see if people will buy the Delta or not
I have a Rex Zero 1s, M&P 2.0 Compact and 2.0 5in FDE which is a great shooter and been very impressed with the 2.0 line overall. With that being said, I do intend to buy the Delta as an a addition.
On disassembly everyone keeps saying to pull the trigger first but you don’t have to. AREX said you do not have to pull the trigger that’s why the disassembly is made the way it is.
This is a good thing! Another good pistol on the market, some will like it, others will not. I have a lot of pistols and recently bought a Rex Delta. Today, Delta is my EDC weapon. More ergonomic and snappy for concealed carry, excellent precision and finish, the slide has grooves for better grip and the grip is ergonomic and comfortable, the trigger reset is awesome, good price, it is an extremely good choice.
Still like it? Some have reported premature barrel and slide wear, mags are noisy, polymer feels cheap. Just wanting to know if you still like it. Deciding between this and IWI Masada.
@@arthurwood7525 I have been using my Rex Delta for 8 months, daily. I use it on a Kydex holster. I don't think the polimer is cheap. The mag is made by Mec-Gar and is very good finish, I think is better then polimer mags. I still thinking this is a very good pistol.
Many folks complain about some handguns that the grip isn’t grippy enough but if too grippey a little sandpaper to take down the edges can make it your own like a CZ 10.
KS, it's me the negative naysayer. This is a gun that's interesting. As usual, your videos are very efficient and top notch! I may be critical of many guns but never your videos. I also think the grip design needs alot of refinement. It looks very 15 years ago. Although the overall geometry and undercut look well done.
Thank you MIO! I do agree that some refinement would go a long way to help this one out. The weight is ideal, so maybe a next gen will get the grip sorted out. Cheers as always!
Great info, I’m happy with my Delta so far, feels really natural with my personal grip and hand size. Do you happen to know if the rear sight mount is identical to a Glock or other common sight mount? I’m interested in the OuterImpact adapter for mounting a Reddot without drilling and tapping holes. Thanks in advance if I get a reply!
I really appreciate your videos. RU-vid is truly unfair with what they are doing. You are 1 of the most low keyed gun guys on RU-vid and give great info. Thanks for all you do.
After seeing your review I am sure I will check out the Rex but keep the review in mind, thanks for all the great information. Thanks for the video and great job on an informative video!
I’m all for ultra aggressive texture everywhere because I have no problem taking sandpaper to my polymer frames. However I do realize many people aren’t comfortable doing that and don’t want the scuffed up look
Great review as always! You know what they say about a camel being a horse designed by committee...Delta, standing for 10 guns they copied. Agree, too angular and I see a little bit Glock, some PPQ, Ruger, Taurus, Springfield, a little of this and that, etc...
Yea I waited on this review and im not interested in this one. I held one and like you said just felt weird so I passed till I heard more about it. Thanks you saved me 400+ bucks 👍
It’s an odd one indeed Youngguns! I think there are others in this price range and size that are just a bit more refined. Thank you and cheers brother!
Adding some Talon Grip material to the front and back of the grip and on the trigger guard takes care of any comfort issues with this gun. I'm speaking from experience. Otherwise, this gun is fantastic, especially for the price!!
I have one. Very nice shooter. Grips take a bit of getting used to. Scotch Brite or fine sand paper will smooth out the edges if you find the angles a little sharp. The zero one pistol is really fantastic.
Finally someone brave and honest enough to call out the exessive trigger pull weight. Big kudos for that! For the gun itself, it is disappointing to hear about the heavy pull, I was that close to ordering it immediately based on the overall reputation of the brand.
I handled one about three months ago and the trigger felt great! Ergos were OK but while racking it I was let down with how rough it felt. If the accuracy is there then I would say it is worth it. The one I looked at was going for $415 Brand new.
I just received my arex delta m. Mime did not have the same texture style. It is more like a 220 grit sand paper. No ruff angles. The only texture on the slide is the trapezoid for the thumb. Mine also has 3 slots on the picatinny rail. Mine came optics ready with 4 plates. I have a red dot on mine. I got the Fde color/ black slide for $469. Not many rounds through it yet but I like the way it handles.
I really like the little trapezoid shaped spot on the front of the frame to put your thumb on. I really wish glock would start doing that as well. I really like how much it helps a thumbs forward grip.
That is a good looking piece. Sharp corners? I didn't see anything that I couldn't fix with some fine grit sandpaper. And that take-up, think safety. A bit longer/heavier to the wall, clean break, short reset is good there.
Not sure, as I don't own this (and wont unless it goes on crazy clearance), but I can give a suggestion, the cuts under the trigger guard are for people who put their support index finger on the front of the trigger guard. On guns I hold by the front of the guard, I often add grip tape to the bottom of the guard for my support middle finger. My hands sweat a lot, so I generally have issues with grip and that helps.
Liked my Zero 1 so maybe I'll give this a shot. Might as well add to the collection, but I doubt it will surpass my M&P 2.0 compact. Definitely does not win in the aesthetic department lol
I know right? I've picked up a few new guns the last 3 years that I've gotten into them. (it's like drugs, I think? LOL) some I want to like more then others but I keep coming back to my M&P 2.0 and I'm like wow I like this gun! I paid more for some of the others I have and do like but want to like more then I do if you know what I'm saying. S&W just got the 2.0 right!!
That's an interesting new gun. I like how Arex is trying to make the same stuff other companies already make, in the future they'll make even better polymer striker fired pistols. I'd give this a try, but it wouldn't be my first choice... I believe the Rex Zero would be better for me.
@KSGunGuy I heard that the Rex Delta is pre-cocked and the spongy trigger is caused by the trigger fully pulling the striker back to fire. I don't have one to check it out. The red cocked indicator in the back should move back a tiny bit when pulling the trigger back to the wall.
The grip angle looks pretty similar to a cz steel frame but a lot more barbaric... You can see the inspirations from several manufacturers and maybe they are trying to perfect them all in one. Needs some more refinement though and I can see it being a great comfortable shooter the next gen BUT I’m not interested considering we have endless opportunities to build and buy something for our preferences While I looked very close at the zero I just went all in on a sig 229 ase. No regrets. Arex is still missing something for me personally but it’s awesome they are trying and seem to be doing well And then you hear the price.... note to self make sure you watch the whole thing before commenting... if I see one at a good price I’ll try it and take some elbow grease to some of those edges
I hear nothing but good things about the Zero 1, though the 229 is tough to beat Rooster. I do agree that they priced the Delta well. Thank you and cheers!
Great review. Question about your slot comment about it only having 1 and you were expecting 2 or 3. Why were you surprised by that when every Glock 19 that I have seen also only has 1 slot?
TangoXrayNiner - I have to agree with you brother. The funny thing is that after purchasing and shooting the P 10C I can almost shoot any striker pistol well. The ergo, the trigger, and the accuracy of the P10C are just great. At the current price it’s hard to beat CZ.
really good review! I just got one and I am excited to pick it up, I have glocks and a P320 and I wanted something else that also fits some G19 holsters. under $400 online
Ordered one and got it today and that medium backstrap dug so badly into my palm I can still feel the rawness in my hand. Also noticed the trigger does pinch just a tad too on my trigger finger
I like a nice grip, but after shooting this gun at Shot Show Media Day... it was the first and biggest turn off. I told the designers and the reps there... they seemed insulted. lol. In particular it was the angles on the front of the strap.
Very good review thanks. I couldn't try but this gun was an option for my next purchase. Angle and grip, too much light weight (yes, i like more heavy weapons) and trigger were my concerns about this gun : you answered them and i'll pass. You were way more realistic than some gun channel too kind for glockish new stuff.
KS I noticed in a few sneak peek vids of this that many of the testers were wearing tactical gloves and I believe that they aimed at ensuring that the grip texture provided excellent traction with wet or muddied gloved hands. Naming it Delta in a sense kind of denotes that it was intended as a duty sidearm maybe geared more towards professional operators than civilians. Let's face it we are one of very few countries that allows its citizenry to keep and bear arms so the majority of the global market is military and police and a large percentage of these wear some form of glove now-a-days. I do agree that one should not have to buff down sharp angles to comfortably shoot with bare hands, I felt that the P10C Gen1 texturing was overly aggressive like that and was quite pleased with the refinements of the P10 G2 series. Being it is a gen1 pistol and the attention to quality that came with other pistols from this manufacturer previously they will be taking notes and make slight changes rather quickly based on consumer feedback. Let's face it there aren't too many offerings that can match how well S&W made their 2.0 grip textures on the M&P line it is my favorite out of the box grip surfacing for sure and I think it sets the barr for what a grip surface should be. That being said the new Steyr grip modules and surface may very well have raised that barr although I haven't had any significant time handling it in a range day yet I did get to handle one at an expo a few months back and it is going to have any Steyr fan giddy that's for sure (hint hint 1776) 😊 I have seen other reviews of the Delta where testers have said that they didn't like the first impressions of the trigger when dry firing that it seemed heavy and rather long traveled. But that when it came to actually shooting the weapon their opinion was changed and that they found it was rather pleasant and very unnoticeable; was this the same experience for you? I know that of all the reviewers I watch you and no offense are like me and a bit of a trigger snob so to speak. Would love to hear your thoughts on that and maybe after another range session wearing shooting gloves. Great video Thanks for Sharing Brother see you Wednesday for the chat.
Very good points Coiler! I do agree that its intent is most likely for law enforcement and such and they may benefit from the grip contours. Time will tell on that one. As for the shooting, during slow fire, it wasn’t bad at all and the reset is fantastic. During rapid fire, the ergos just made it unpleasant but it was still reasonably accurate. I am no doubt a trigger snob which plays into things. Tough to avoid that. I may do a follow up but haven’t decided yet. We shall see! Thank you and cheers brother!
I have mine on order it’s due in next week but after seeing the review I think I’m gonna be a little disappointed just because I really hate trigger poles over 5 pounds because of my arthritis in my hands. So it’ll be fun to check it out she did a little bit but it’ll probably be moving on down the road from my collection.
And Springfield XD’s kind of Suck!! Slide Heavy with a lot of muzzle flip / perceived recoil, Stupid grip safety, and small mag release. Have owned several different XD & now the mod 2 tactical, that’s my take.
@@nmhvactech5474 I've had a full size Mod 2 and SC Mod 2. You are right about the slide height and extras but they shot really accurately for me at least. Just not my thing with all the extra safety features.
Woa, not what I was thinking. I'd rather STIER. Thanques I appreciate the review KS - haven't seen any other Rex Delta reviews yet but this review will be highly reccomended from me. I love their RexZeo1 line - fantastik! The designers should take some feed back on this and try a Gen 2 because I would love for ARex to have a great polymer pistol and why not, everyone except "Ole Green" has a good polymer gun. Haven't touched the Mossberg MC yet but I understand it's a good alternative to the Sheild and G43 lines...
I always like to see people's first impressions of a firearm. That normally gives you their true belief about it. If you're doing two or three or four takes, it almost seems like you're forcing yourself to like the gun.
Internally it’s a Springfield XD clone. Honestly I was thinking this was just going to be another Glock clone, but it’s definitely not. Sure it’s got a lot of inspiration of a lot of different guns, but it’s basically a reimagined Springfield with a Glock takedown. Like the video as always.
If you are operating this weapon with a gloved hand, I would imagine that those sharp edges would be more of a benefit for grip, than a nuisance. However, I would imagine that the average shooter would be better off sanding them down. Nice review as usual.
It’s unfortunate to buy a firearm and immediately have to sand down the frame just so it will be comfortable. I think there are other options that just do it better. Thank you and cheers!
I really liked the look and feel of this one so i picked it up. However, I am having difficulty finding holsters for mine. The guy at the gun shop suggested that it looks like it would fit in a Ruger security 9 holster. Anyone have any success or suggestions on holsters?
Another 4" barrel polymer striker fired gun. After the Glock 19 success all the handgun manufacturers keep making the same gun with a few suttle differences. I guess if I was a handgun manufacturer I might also try to copy and improve the most popular handgun. Looks like the Rex Delta falls short.
I do agree Randy! After a while they all begin to look the same. Still fun to see what different manufacturers come up with. Thank you and cheers brother!
I think that it has potential in the market based on price point, the fact of how light it is, and the ease of disassembly. I personally did not handle this pistol but have been very interested based upon those features; will have to see how things go though and if there are any mid release changes made. Based on KS's review I am a bit skeptical yet. I trust his take on things because we have very similar opinions.
It actually took a long time for anyone to make a direct G19 competitor in the same size. There were smaller and bigger, but nothing the same. This was strange because in a lot of ways the G19 is the perfect size for a lot of applications. But not the dam has broken and there are quite a few poly-striker guns in this size. So if a manufacturer is going to try, they need to have better features and/or value than what's out there. I don't see it with this one. As far as I'm concerned, the best value in this size gun is the M&P 2.0 Compact. Stronger, better ergos and features than the Glock 19, and significantly cheaper.
@@bbmw9029 i would agree with that assessment for sure it is hard to beat the M&P 2.0 but I also like the FNS 9c it is very similar to the M&P 2.0 but with stippling more like the CZ P10c and is completely ambi controls like the XD by Springfield. It is one firearm I think gets overlooked far too much and like the m&p it is 17 round capable and has Apex trigger availability. The G19 in my opinion is outdated and ill equipped out the box for the money. The Delta has some appealing features but needs some refinement in areas to truly make it a contender with the big names it is the first offering I am sure that they will absorb the reviewers and consumer feedback and make tweaks and come out with a gen 2.
Good review. Interesting first pass for Arex. Would agree. There really aren't any angles on the hand. If it is uncomfortable to shoot then no go for me. Very light. As mentioned. CZ P10c or P07 are more attractive offers to me and I have them both. Be interesting to see how they refine it over time. Future models have potential to be super cool.
Msrp on 09/15/2020 is 399.99. (Buds has for 369.99) that's amazing for what you get and being smack dead of covid/riots/antipolice era. I find the delta to be extremely underrated.
You can buy a Canik TP9 SF Elite One Series for $299 now. Granted, it only comes with one magazine, but you can purchase extra mags for $25 at Gun Mag Warehouse and still get a gun every bit as good as this for less money.
OK...Between you and MAC's reviews, I just can't decide. I am still interested, but I am losing the urge to just impulse buy it. I had such high hopes. Oh well, I'll just build another P80 instead :)
I think it’s worth getting in hand at a shot to see if you like it, though with some many options out there... well, you know. I think another build is definitely in order! Thank you and cheers brother!
Interesting indeed. I haven't seen, or held one, but they are trying to get into a very hot, and flooded market. It's going to be a tall order to catch up with all of the 15 round ploymer wonders on the market.
How did you get a hold of this one already? I just saw them available yesterday, and the price is surprisingly low! If you ask me, this pistol looks like something from the Predator movies. I like the look and the trigger appears pretty nice too. I just don't know if I will grab one or not. I would still like to get a hold of the Rex zero 1 first. Have a great weekend brother, be safe out there.
I ordered it the day K Var had them in stock and thankfully they shipped it quickly. I agree about the predator thing, lol. I hear nothing but good things about the Zero 1. It’s on my list as well! Thank you and cheers Fu!
Very interesting review. The polymer or plastic just looks cheap to me. Kinda like a toy type of plastic versus what the other manufacturers are putting out. I appreciate the full lefty controls though. I think I'll pass on this one but thanks for the review! You are my top reviewer.
KS I love your reviews I watch almost everything you put out. I'm not really a fan of striker-fired pistols. I would love to see a Rex zero 1 review from you. It is one that I've been thinking about buying.
Another good and honest review brother. Looks to me they over did it trying to make a perfect gun. Lol I'll stick with my m&ps, looking to pick up the new czp10s. Great video, carry on.
I own a CZ P10C and fired an M&P shield pistol last month. After two rounds to familiarize myself with the M&P trigger it shot just as well as the CZ. The polymer striker fired pistol manufacturers have gotten so good that it’s hard to differentiate between them in terms of reliability and accuracy. The CZ P10C is just a great pistol at its current price point. You will not be disappointed.
Also you're like the 4th or 5th video I've seen that says it comes with a 17 round clip? But I have to 15 rounds one of them does have that little bump stock to give it the appearance of maybe being a 17-round but I assure you it is not. Not that that's a bad thing I mean 15 is still plenty
the glock polymer is very flexible and very resistant, it has tolerance for deformation. The arex polymer appears to be very rigid looking at video, if it's true, it may be weak against blows.
I just finished watching your video of your customized 43X. Then watched this one. You shot this gun much better then the Glock!! Nice big hole on this one! Six months into 2019 and you still don't have a camera on your target!! Enjoyed your videos...Thanks sir.
I wasn’t really going for accuracy with the Glock, just functionality. You saw me during the break in after the Cerakote. Good eye though! Thank you and cheers Douglas!
Congrats on 30k! I dont think this gun will make it long before they quit making it. It just seems like a miss that wont be able to compete with the already crowded polymer striker market.
Thanks Josh! Much appreciate brother. At the price point, it will probably do OK, though hopefully a second gen will address some of the shortcomings. Time will tell. Cheers brother!
Pretty cool but with pricing being a concern and the amount of good guns less than this one could play out poorly.....Who knows as time will tell....Good info as always sir....Good stuff....
CZ P10C sells for about 370 dollars. It’s an incredibly accurate pistol made from a Top Tier Quality manufacturer that has an outstanding “real” trigger. This pistol is late to the party from a don’t know who, please tell me your name again manufacturer. I’ll pass on this one, but thanks for showing us this video.
@9:30 I am not too sure about this .. I was never 100% on Glocks with just 4 small tabs VS full contact . What could possibly go wrong in the worst case ??
That is a gun that is begging for a stipple job for sure. I do hope this gun gets a foot hold in the market. I know a lot of people will yawn and say, "Yeah another polymer wonder 9🙄" but if arex listens to customer feedback as well as Canik, they have a great looking pistol to build a following with.
not sure I see where they took what was wrong with all the other pistols and fixed it on theirs. Right now if you are designing a striker pistol to compete in the glock 19 space it needs to have a better trigger, a optic cut, agressive front and rear serrations, big undercut, and basically a ergonomic grip without a severe angle that is almost fully stippled and very agressive texture along with threaded barrel and optic/supressor height sights. My belief is if someone builds this pistol and prices it right people will buy it because they do not have to mess with upgrades.
I'll keep my gen 4 mos glock, m&p 2.0, sig p365, and it looks like I will be buying a gen 5 mos glock 19 sometime this year. I see nothing in this midsize carry gun class that I want other than a gen 5 glock 19mos.
