The Argentia Wellhead Platform is part of the White Rose Extension Project, led by Cenovus Energy. This project, located off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, aims to extend the productive life of the White Rose oil field. The construction includes a wellhead platform, which will contribute to extending the field's operational life from 2032 to 2038. The project had been paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic but was resumed with an updated recovery estimate showing an increase in recoverable oil to 436 million barrels. The platform is a fixed-wellhead structure and involves the construction of a concrete gravity structure and topsides. Kiewit Corporation is responsible for fabricating, constructing, and integrating the 25,000-ton topsides, which include living quarters, a drilling floor, and other essential infrastructure (Offshore Energy) (Oil Gas Leads) (Kiewit Corporation).
