I grew up in Argentina and have been living in NY for a long time. When I first arrived at NY I hated the pizza. Too salty, and sooo oily! But after a while I learned to like it, now I appreciate both styles (as well as Neapolitan margherita). However, I will say: Argentinian cheese is the best. The freshest, highest quality, unsurprising in such a cattle raising country. In NY, too many pizzerias-even legit ones-use cheap cheese and disguise it with toppings.
@@countryfirstusa9072 well, no. It has a dough, though it is a bit more like a focaccia dough. Just like NY and Chicago, it is its own style. Have you ever tried it?
i live at 5 blocks from La mezzeta and let me tell you once a week i go there walking to get a big slice of fugazzetta with Faina... man i love that place
No sé si lo conoces a naka, del canal de japatonic lite, el contó que los japoneses no saben hacer pizza, que incluso las congelada que traen de exportación safan a medias, pero no son nada en comparación a la típica "grande de muzzarella"
Hey glad someone made a video about the subject but my personal opinion is Argentinian "Pizza" is horrible. You have to try hard to mess up a pizza but somehow they manage to do it.
😂😂😂 its funny cuz the people who invented this style are ITALIANS, but i understand if you brain doesnt work that well, maybe a history book could work for you
Just no. When I‘ve been to Buenos Aires and realized that people there are mainly of italian ancestry, I thought Pizza must be a thing there, and it apparently is. But what they do is not pizza, it‘s BAKED CHEESE with fat and some dough.
@@BrunchBoys You have no idea how much of a foodie I am. Food is #3 among the things I enjoy most in life. But my favorite kitchen is the italian kitchen. The argentinian pizza interpretation is an offense to the original, Just like the US american way. Same goes for South American sushi. I love sushi. But who the hell told every South American sushi restaurant to fill everything up with the least fitting ingredient: cream cheese?! If you don't understand me because you have some cheese fetish, fair enough.
Un yanqui y un alemán... ¡Qué sabrán de pizza y sabor estos! Los italianos que vienen a Argentina están enamorados de nuestras pizzas. Eso dice mucho más, son los creadores de la pizza.
