Ok so I don't want to give any false information so let me start by saying: I don't know. Having said that, if you go to Google Maps right where the Ruta 7 (leading down from Uspallata) hits the Ruta 40, and move a little further south, you will see as the square and round patches of farmland become desert. You must use the satellite image layout, not the political layout. It is by all logic simply state land. Funny story, when we were talking to a store owner in Uspallata about our interest in purchasing land she laughed at us and said, why don't you just build a little house somewhere you like and say it is yours, like everyone else does without consequence 😂 Argentina is simply a world of it's own, if you hate it, you'll hate it, if you love it, you'll love it. I am personally of the latter. Regarding overpopulation: I actually mention this in an upcoming video (not by narration, but I said it to the camera 7 months ago, while driving through the pampa. Argentina one of the least densely populated countries on Earth. Southern Argentina? This isn't even the halfway point on the Ruta 40 🤣, it's about 2/5th of the way, and that's only because there are more curves on the northern end. The size of this country is utterly incomprehensible. In an upcoming video I make mention that every 2km there are countdown markers telling you how many thousands of km you have left to the end of the world.
