It's a far fetched idea but if I'm gonna have an ARGO in the future, theoretically, I definitely have to have tracks on it. Or tires with a really hardcore tread. Otherwise I'm screwed. :D

I bet that tracks are better then tires with hardcore tread. Ground pressure is better than with tires. How well this swims with tracks?

It doesn't steer that good when in water and it's really slow. Some electrical boat motors would be cool to steer it. Impellers somewhere in the back of the machine or something. Or the outboard motor we talked about. :D

Hmm, ok. Electrical boat motor sounds good for that. Light, mobile and can be powered by battery from Argo.

It is outrageous! I'm sold for life for one of these now. Just have to win a lottery to buy one probably. Or build one. :D

You're absolutely right. It's way hard to steer this thing in the water and it's slow. The motor(s) would make this thing handle much better.

You can put up to a 4 hp gas outboard on them, and it makes a huge difference on water!

But it floats pretty well and crawls really good on tracks. Without the tracks and aggressive tire tread it's a piece of shit in the mud. I really love this machine either way though. :D

I didn't know tracks were so expensive. The new ARGO costs around 15K euros (maybe couple thousands less). I definitely have to build an ARGO instead of buying.

I looked up the prices of used ARGO-s in the area and they're around 10K, the tracks are around 3K so the tracks dont cost that much compared to the machine itself but it's still a lot of money...

The tracks are only like 2000 if you buy them through argo

I would also think so. There's no tread at all on these things. And they cost a fortune if someone wanted to buy them.

@@DonnDIY Yes I dont wish to put down a Company but the ARGO product is really a poor design. Sure a LOT for sale . id never buy another.

I would've if that machine was mine. But unfortunately it isn't. When I get one really cheap I will probably build my own tracks. In reality however I'd probably have to build the machine myself too since these ARGO-s aren't gonna be cheap. :D

Already did it. Just have to cut the video together. ;)
