I've begun assembly, which entails bending plenty of brass rods to create the Y-Wing's piping.

Some bendy wire might help to mock up some of those bends next time👍🏼

Well, if you mean flexible wire, then it would get bent up too much and look like crap. The pipes wouldn't be straight like they're supposed to be.

@stevethefishdotnet just as a reference for your bends to use on the piping, to reduce the guesswork.

Oh, I see what you mean! Use something as a model and then bend the stiff wire accordingly. Good idea! Thanks for the tip.

Instead of the hard to bend brass, did you ever try using solder? Also, what is that white stuff you filled the the hull with?

Solder is an interesting choice, but it bends too easily. So once it gets bent, then you can try to straighten it out, but it'll never be very straight again. The white stuff is just lightweight paper clay I bought at Daiso.
