The Traveler fled from both The Hive and The Fallen cuz it knew they stood no chance against the Witness, only then the Witness has finally cornered it when it tried to flee from Earth.

BUT the strongest wielder of light and dark, guardian and witness gave meaning to such power. Guardians can use both though. But you see the idea. Witness only cares about itself, whoever say they are doing this for the good of everybody while killing them is just self fulfilling ego maniac. The weilders of light however 'in ultimatum' formed vanguard, forgave their enemies, fought for every species. Bring change and unity. Thats why anyone who say light is good darkness is bad still is true in a way. But the power themselves are tools because they can be mastered.
@@MICROKNIGHT3000 the Traveler cannot teleport. The Traveler stopped to confront The Witness. It saw that Humanity was willing to risk everything to stop The Final Shape so it decided to do its part and give the forces of Sol a chance to stop him. The Traveler took one for the team.
Its not really a "game cutscene" more a trailer but that bit showing the Hive Guardians with the light in the Witch Queen Trailer is one of the most chilling things this world has done.
This must have been recorded after Lightfall came out. In the opening part of the cutscene, you can see the traveler in the reflection of the window. After the camera moves inside the room, the traveler is gone and Caitl's ships are there instead.
@adrianstjarnfaldt9895 Has ZERO relevance to what he just said. Witch queen, lightfall, and most likely final shape were supposed to be mixed in together but bungie separated them into 3 expansions. The war ships did not park in the last city til after season of the warmind which was after witch queen. The biggest giveaway is how the witness and the vanguard sat still for the entirety of lightfall without moving at all. What should have been 1-2 missions in the story was stretched out as the whole expansion
Solo player. Don’t do raids, can’t do any dungeons alone except shattered throne. Kinda feel like playing this game is pointless because a lot of my love for this game is because of the lore and I miss so much of it. Haven’t been Playing it as much recently consequently. But this scene makes me wanna hop back in!!
I love this cutscene, but there’s always something that bugged me…. The entire point of the dark age was that the first light bearers were assholes who abused their power to conquer others. Immaru was a bully before he revived her, and it’s been well established ghosts can’t directly communicate with the traveler The Traveler has shown to be ambivalent to people misusing its power, is this really any different from the dark age?

I swear... bungie makes cutscene just to have something to put in the trailers. I still remember when they where the firsts to make lord of the ring level cutscene. People say witch queen was good....
