When Drew reaches the "Top ten most 'boring' states" based off of the European's opinion and says they nailed it. Me, a person living in Iowa and enjoying it: **Sobs** Drew: **Says they should've replaced one with Idaho** Me: **Cries harder because I was born in Idaho.**
@@Igreatlyadmirecats If Reno and the city of sin(Las Vegas) weren't in Nevada. Then sure, you might have a point. But then there's also area 51. So idk about that.
As a *French person* , I can *confirm* that English *phrases* has many words from our *dictionnary* . I *agree* that they should *stay* with their germanic roots.
as long as I'm not required in school on how to pronounce and use the word "acquiesce" I wont think the french and english languages are complete jokes.
I live in Rome, I can confirm New York pizza is quite similar to how we do it, we enjoy it a good deal. The fact is, 'official' best pizza even in Italy is neapolitan style which is not the same at all (to me, best round pizza is neapolitan but just thinking about Rome take away squares of pizza makes my mouth water lol) Many regions have local pizzas/focaccias as well, they are all good but they are very different, not all Italians are fans of regional versions either - I'm a big fan of Pugliese and Genovese, and I have found very good pizza in Abruzzo and Sicily etc.. If I compare NY style as a regional version, I'd say it's generally from decent to good and can be excellent
8:42 - That's actually pretty clever. According to Putin's propaganda, it's Russia that's fighting defensively and it's NATO that's aggressive. So Orban warned him that he will suffer tremendous losses, but did it in a way that won't piss him off or anyone else.
But Zelensky's and Nato's propaganda Says that they can win in a nuclear war when: Russia is protected by multiple countries Russia can make people freeze to death Russia Has more nukes than any other country Russia Have skilled Army and better equipment than Nato itself
@@abps9947 some person will utter the most factual information about Russia and their military out of their mouth, and you sputniks will already be there to call it propaganda.
The thing with Denmark is that they are known for a lot of things, just not really uniquely so. They are known for bikes and windwills, but so are the Netherlands, and arguably more so. They have the little mermaid statue, but Belgium has manneken pis. They have half-timbered houses, but Germany sorta got dibs on that. They are known for pastries (danishes), but central europe even more so, etc… I’d say the city of Copenhagen, just in general, as well as really long bridges are the things Denmark is "uniquely" known for, in addition to Lego of course
denmark is known for ikea, volvo, fjords and fishing and whaling industries, also high technology scandinavian government and lots of weed smoking and the red light district
Drew ... Eurobasket is not for the European Clubs , but the national teams . Champions ; Soviet Union , Yugoslavia , Spain , Greece , France , Germany , Slovenia , Lithuania , Chechoslovakia , Latvia , Russia , Egypt ( they were part of FIBA Europe in the 50's ) and Hungary .
And, like, Luka Doncic was first noticed after his great performance at the Eurobasket for Slovenia and most of european NBA players play there for their national teams when they can.
There's one interesting fact about Delaware that could (and, IMO, should) be the basis of a meme: Many large US corporations are officially based there, due to very favorable tax laws. In fact, there's one non-descript office building in Wilmington that's officially the headquarters of thousands of corporations.
9:51 RIP Drew. It's so sad that he was oofed and replaced with AI. Although if I have to be honest I think the AI Drew is doing a much better job than the actual Drew.
2:07 at one point Delaware had no flights in or out of the state for like half a year I think. That’s how irrelevant they are, the airlines forgot they existed
Be glad they were just from the empire. The last one we called Stormtroopers could actually aim, so you better behave or the Germans will send their Stormtroopers again (damn, I never thought I would say that in regards to Star Wars)
The UK, Portugal, and Brazil's mutual friendship is low-key, but eternal. We sometimes pretend to hate each other over football, but we are best friends really.
Eurobasket is like the euros in football or the world cup where the national teams compete not the club teams. many players in the tournament play on nba teams or euroleague teams so they wouldn’t play an nba team.
As a Bavarian living next to the Czech Border I also think that Chechia has much more to do with Austria and Germany than poland or Hungery The Habsburgs also ruled in Prague...

The funny thing about the russian polulation density is that the area on which it is spread is just as big as the British Isles, so both are kinda wrong 😂
As a Latvian myself, this is the first time I realized that our city does sound like ogre. I assume most of you wont care (thats why its on the bottom), but in our language the letter '' o '' makes a '' ua '' sound, so the way we say the cities name is '' uagre '' also yes, some words that have been adopted from different languages share the english pronunciation of '' o '', but those are exceptions.
5:51 As a Spanish I can confirm that Spanish twitter went on fire when this game was announced, mainly due to a lot of historical errors from the trailer alone.
8:02 Not to be this guy but actually, the first preserved description of a modern “bratwurst” comes from Thuringia in 1404, so I would say that they are quintessentially German, not polish, but please prove me wrong if I’m mistaken.
Sausages are known since ancient Babylon, Romans often eaten sausages. Sausages were considered sinful during the early Christianity, so they may have fade out for a while. But as far I have found Poland was already famous for their sausages in the 14th century, while 1404 is 15th century. So, at least in terms of sources we have, Polish sausages were described first, but I don't think we will ever able to find out who was first. Maybe just during Late Middle Ages sausages just became more popular and mainstream, but I doubt they have completely died out since Romans.
@@Hadar1991 Yeah, to clarify that aspect with the romans inventing the sausage, I specifically said “modern” because I don’t think that in Ancient Rome or Greece they already had the typical “German Bratwurst”(I’m just using the German version because I think it’s the most famous iteration). But thanks for pointing out that Poland has had these since the 14th century, I couldn’t find it while researching.
@@FriedKelp1 So to be totally clear, I do not have some perfect source, but few articles in Polish Internet and English Wikipedia mention that Poland was famous making sausages. Also If I am correct German Bratwurst is only cooked while Polish kiełbasa is cooked and smoked so they are slightly different products. I am not really into history of food but as far I am aware smoking food was extremely big deal in Poland. But due to geographical closeness and mass emigration of Germans into Poland during Middle Ages Polish and German cuisines probably influenced each other.
Pilsen literally sat right next to the "border" where the Sudeten Germans live, like literally almost on the border. There was bound to be some connection with Germans. Czechia's entire history is so deeply enrooted with Germans and Austrians, the only real difference between those groups is the language.
Fun fact if people think german words like Krankenhaus(hospital) or Überraschung(suprise) are the odd one out, if compared to other world languages, it is acually the opposite, because english uses the latin word origin instead of the germanic one
The thing with Denmark isn't that I don't know anything about Denmark. But I, as a neighbour, have absolutely no idea what's going on over there. I can tell you at least something that happened recently for most European countries but for Denmark, I just don't know. Maybe that's a sign for things going well in the country?

7:50 Some might think keeping everyone in moscow during a nuclear war is a bad idea. However conisder the 5 anti ballistic missile sites surrounding the city, the metro designed to work as temporary nuclear shelters and in case that doesnt work, the other deeper secret metro system designed as a shelter for the leadership. 1950s soviet union was pretty paranoid.
Those preparations only matter if they know about the attack before the nukes arrive, and judging by the state of the Russian military, I wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't
As someone from Maryland, there is literally nothing interesting in Delaware, like i guess they have beaches and like one (1) cool-ish mall. But there is literally nothing else to do there
0:35 Actually it's 60% ,the "nearly 30%" is confused with the stat that someone who speak both French and English will only see the resemblance between 28% of the English vocabulary ,to get the 32% ,you kinda need to have a degree in linguistics or something like that . And because of that ,52% of the English vocabulary is also of Latin origin ,and more than 60% of the English vocabulary is either of Latin and Ancient Greek origin . English is also the 4th closest language related to French (Excluding the other language of the Gallo-Romance family) behind Italian ,Spanish and Portuguese (But Italian is still 2,3 (2.3 for American) times closer to French than Spanish/Portuguese)
The Franks were originally a Germanic tribe and ended up speaking words that stem from Latin because they were invaded, conquered and colonised by Latin Speakers. Before the Franks, the people of 'Gaul' were Celtic, Gallic... Gaelic.... You'll find that English simply has a greater % of its other ancestral tongues than languages such as French.... In Spanish for instance, a lot of their language is also infused with Arabic... The Spanish prefix 'El' coming from the Arabic 'Al'

3:18 I wonder if Drew will ever experience real Chicago pizza instead of that tourist deep dish variety…real Chicago pizza is thin crust and it’s the best in the country, and yes that includes New York’s.
I think I said this when Drew first reviewed American pizzas, but as an Ohioan, I can confidently say that I have never once seen Ohio Valley Pizza and it looks like rancid rat sh*t
