After a couple of year hiatus from our eMTB Shootouts, the Wire Peak is back, now under the ‪@aribikes‬ brand name and with updates throughout to bump its performance up a few notches. We were excited to see what Ari’s interpretation of the best all-round eBike for under $6k would offer out on the trails.

I had an Abojo Peak a couple years back. It was the base model. Loved it! I'm not a pro mtb rider but, very experienced. It got stolen! I waited a year and tried the Aventon Aventure. Good bike, just didn't fit the riding I do. Researched a lot and decided on the 2022 model Wire Peak Comp. It has the E6000 60nm motor. I love this bike. More than enough power for tech steep climbs. Handles well. In all honesty, I'm having a bit of trouble getting used to the full 29 setup. I feel a bit tippy on it. I'm out of shape and practice so that might have a lot to do with that.

PLEASE review the propain ekano 2 cf ! Very little info on this bike and I have one on order. I need to know how badly I messed up spending almost 10K on this thing 😂

At that price point, I'd go for the entry level Timp Peak at $5999 - seems like the better bike and better value IMO

We don't disagree with you there! But, we also realize that there are riders who would be happy and comfortable on this. For example, my father in law, who's older, doesn't mountain bike but wants to just cruise around parks and paths, this would probably be better than the Timp for that. Especially in one of the lower priced models.

I feel you should have tested the elite; it is better bike for less money. You get 12speed slx (vs 11 speed xt), ep8 (vs ep6), those two alone and saving $1,000 is no brainer.

Their elite build has previous gen ep8 motor.

The elite is a better value bike. The DVO is so adjustable you don't miss the fox, and it's hot the ep8... Oddly enough that saddle is the most comfortable I've ever ridden.?

It's an interesting spec dilemma. We didn't enjoy the saddle, but they're very much personal preference.

Just a heads up: If you want to save yourself more sadness you may want to unsubscribe because this is the first video in our 14 ebike shootout video series. As a side note, we haven’t yet met a person who’s hated e-bikes and then kept hating them after we took them for a proper ride on a modern ebike… semantics aside, they are truly fun. and since we like two wheeled fun, whether it be throttle, electric, pedal, or chairlift access, it will continue to, and always has, had a place on our channel.
