What a fantastic property the aria is I was there in 2015 and me and a lovely Karla will be returning to the aria August 2020 cannot wait thanks guys for sharing love it
I agree your videos are first class. Have either of you taken any video production classes? I studied this when I was younger and I am going to try and get back to editing videos
You both always produce WELL documented vlogs. Always see things that I did not know about that like someone else said are overlooked. Feels like what the old Travel Channel used to be. Been watching other vlogs hoping to be in LV next year. You should have more views and subscribers. Make sure you are listed in the right category.
C W Wow we are so flattered, that you would compare us to the Travel Channel! Just call me Samantha...not! We are growing our channel bit by bit, thanks to great supporters like you. 😊 We definitely check out all the RU-vid tips and tricks, and we know it can go nowhere but up from here!
My wife and I did 5 nights is a corner Sky Suite here at Aria...Beautiful spot.... Had Thanksgiving Dinner at Jean Georges, Tapas at Julian Serrano and snacks at the Brasserie where I had the most expensive tap beer of my life...LOL. Did well at the Casino too ! 5 grand on a Quick Hits Slot and few other nice slot hits.... Great vlog folks, as always... Can't wait to get back to Las Vegas !
Lemongrass is my favorite Asian restaurant not just in Vegas but anywhere! My wife and I both agree, you guys should go to Disneyland and do a walking tour video! The horticultural team is incredible and there’s so much history there! Great video as always!
Totally on board with that suggestion Josh! 👍 We Love theme parks in general, but I am always drawn to the landscaping - it’s my thing for sure. I take a million pictures lol. We sure would love to revisit Disneyland, been a while since we were there. If only it was open...sigh. As for Lemongrass - we must try it!
The back stories on your videos is incredible and love Your narration. Your channel is by far my favorite channel on you tube. The Aria is such a beautiful property, Another Amazing post you two 👏👏👏
Oh it is so gorgeous, the lobby, the lobby bar, the convention area, the restaurants - I just loved it. Our son was there to do a video shoot, and his room was covered with equipment - bed, floor, every surface! That's why I didn't film it.
Love the Aria. We were there 2 years back in a Corner Suite.... Wonderful place. Did 4 days there and never left the property. Great VLOG folks ! Thanks ! Uncle Rudy
Rudy Prankl We are so glad you discovered our channel! Thanks for taking the time to comment. And yes, if I stayed at Aria, I wouldn’t find a reason to leave the property either!
Wow, beautiful, I’ve only been to the Aria Mall on the strip in 2016 and 2019, will have to go the hotel to see the rest of the beautiful property , great video!
Tomer Levy Oh Thank you so much! You have no idea how much we miss going out and doing those...hope there’ll come a day we can do more. Thanks for watching! 😊
We love the Vdara as our go to Staycation choice. We then walk over to the Aria for entertainment, meals and so on. Vdara is priced better than the Aria with comparable rooms. Your son looks like a nice young man. You must be proud. Thank you for the tour.
another great video! I am catching up on my days off....even though I been in the Aria a few hundred times I still didnt see all the places you feature in this video! keep up the great work Dale and Paula!
Love your channel, just discovered you! My husband and I have been to Vegas many times, sometimes we bring a “ to see list” but always seem to run around like scatter brains because it’s so overwhelming there! We’re hoping after seeing your fun, calm, informative videos we can act like proper adults and see things differently. We are going to check out your Scotland documentary next. Keep up the great videos!
Tracy Bejbl Thank you, what a fun comment - you made us both laugh with the scatter brain thing! 😁 If our calm demeanor helps your Vegas vacation be more productive, yay!!
Great video. I’m staying at the Aria in a few weeks and searched RU-vid for an idea of what to expect. Your video answered so many of my questions. Thanks a million
We go back to Vegas in less than 2 weeks, and I find myself binge watching vegas videos leading up to our trips. Just found your channel and it is awesome! I look forward to bingeing through your video
i can not tell you guys how much i enjoy your videos they literally make my day. unfortunately i discovered las vegas later in life. i was in my sixties actually and i my kids wanted me to accompany them on there trip to tell the truth i was not even that excited. the first hotel i walked into was the paris i looked up at the sky ceiling and i was hooked from that point on i never looked back, to me las vegas is the greatest city ever invented lol i have made 10 trips now some of them by myself, i just love the fancy hotels fremont street the whole shebang. anyway i hope you guys keep delivering these great videos ty so much for sharing them with us
nevada smith What a great comment, thank you and thank you some more! So glad you found our little channel. 😊 I love your story...it illustrates how unique and enticing this town is, for all ages. So glad you keep coming back for more!
You two are so cute, sorry you weren’t feeling well😔. Aria is my favorite casino in all of vegas for sure. The beds are the best, like sleeping on clouds! The casino, to me, isn’t too big to overwhelm you, and the pool is great too. I stay there at least once a trip. In three weeks I’m booked for three days for my birthday!
Happy Birthday and thank you so much for the great comment. We have been together a loooong time, can’t go wrong when you marry your best friend. Travel safe Tina and fingers crossed the odds are on your side. ❤️🎂
You two are just so adorable. Thanks for taking the time to review and explain the history of these hotels. I stay at Aria maybe 3 times a year and never knew about the floor above the convention center.
Jaycee Berr I will take “adorable”, thank you! 😊 We love the history of Las Vegas, it’s a very fascinating place, and we will always include it if we can. Thanks for watching!
Keep making these videos just love watching them big kisses and hugs and love to you and yours with love from me and my darling children and grandson 💘♥️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌹😜😘💋🥂
Your video of the Aria was wonderful / We have some My Vegas comps for the Aria Buffet which gets top reviews from everyone . The reason it smelled so good was the great meat selection they are famous for / Thanks we enjoy your Las Vegas Resort reviews .
Great video! Love your reviews. When I’m next in Vegas I’ll take some footage for you all of the sky suite facilities, they’re the best in town! Best of luck to you all!
Stayed at the Aria Sept 2017 and you’re right the carpets are amazing I don’t know how they lay them without any joins on such a large area , loving you’re videos on a Sunday evening in Yorkshire UK , we are out in sept 2019👍👍👍👍
Helen Nichols The fact that you are sitting in Yorkshire UK on a Sunday evening watching our little RU-vid channel is so exciting!! Thank you and cheers!! 👋
Fly out the 10th staying Bellagio , Venetian and the Encore so will say a Big hello if you’re out Vlogging , until then will be tuning in on a Sunday , keep up the good work 😃😃😃
We used a massive company out here called freeman that did our carpeting and worked a lot in the convention space. The carpet rolls were massively long and the folks that laid it down were expert craftsman. It was always the speed at which they did it with perfection that always impressed me.
Great Video, I especially like your staycations since, I like to see the rooms also. I wish you had a room tour of Aria. I know rooms are expensive, but I think the Resorts should start compting you rooms for a night, to provide you room tours. (Of course with your Honest opinions of rooms, compted or not.)
We would be very happy with that arrangement as well LOL! We do pay for everything ourselves, out of our own pocket, so we are selective in where we choose to stay and do a room tour. With "welcome back" pricing being so low right now, maybe we can stay at Aria sometime.
Ashley Porter Oh we hope you have a wonderful time here! Aria is in such a perfect spot to get to everything happening on the Strip. And, it’s gorgeous! 😊
Fun fact: Aria was used for a film called “Last Vegas.” It stars Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline. The film is about four friends that get together in Las Vegas. And one of the friends is getting married. It’s a great film I highly recommended it.
BatesMotelEvilRegal25 Did not know that was the filming location! Have heard of that movie but haven’t seen it - we will check it out. Thanks for watching!
Wow, Aria looks amazing! It's funny, I've been to Vegas many times but never venture to Aria area or Cosmo because I thought they were residential buildings. I remember hearing when those were being built that they were going to be residential luxury condos.
You aren't wrong - CityCenter was always intended to be many things, a combination of actual permanent residences, hotel/resort, and shopping (like practical shopping, for people who lived there). I think it morphed over time, became less of the actual living end, and more resort, but still beautiful properties and well worth a look-see. I love spending time in Aria.
César Pelli was an Argentine architect of great prestige and international recognition, nationalized American. Aria was a project designed by Mr. Pelli (1926-2019) - Greetings from Argentina!!! - Saludos desde Argentina!!!
Thank you Daniel, for sharing this great piece of background info. Mr. Pelli did a magnificent job - I love the place! And, hola yourself, in Argentina! :)
@@paulamckenzie Hola Paula. Aria was the Hotel where I stayed the first time I visited Las Vegas. Aria is in a place in my heart. See you!!! Hasta la vista!!!
I always enjoy your videos and you two are so darn cute! I see how hard you work to create your xlogs. Have you thought about doing some outside of LV? Like RedRock or Valley Of Fire?
The Aria hasn't changed since I walked through it in 2010. The only problem I see, is that if all new casinos went with the "no-theme" minimalism like Aria, they will all start looking the same. You'll literally have to wonder which casino you're in, and then there is no point going to other casinos, because, well, it looks exactly like the one you're in -- architecturally.
wakeupscreaming Interesting point - and a real endorsement for the whole idea of theming. I think one of the best aspects of the Strip is the diversity to be found in the resorts...removing theming and making them more homogenized takes away from the visitor experience. Thanks for watching.
Dale and Paula thanks again for another awesome vlog. I love being able to tag along! But Paula why did you not give us a room tour while you were up there? I would have loved to have seen it from your perspective.
Mark Crooks We love it that you love to tag along! 😁 Two reasons on the room tour being skipped: Our son had been given a handicapped accessible room, which made the bathroom setup kind of weird; and, he was there to do a video shoot, thus his room was chock full of gear...I mean, on every surface including the floor!
That second floor Starbucks is the best. Coffee always fresh. Aria buffet was average. Bardot average. Shopping limited. I know Crystals next door, but it's all high end, which is okay but not practical for everyday like The Forum. Aria patisserie the best desserts ever! Cafe great breakfasts, beautiful carpeting. Rooms computerized drapes, lights go on and off at will. Warm not hot water. Stayed there 7 days so got a good feel for the place. It is too far down strip, so rental car or tram. We are not young enough to walk every place. I still would stay again because it's calm, you can sit outside and people watch in pleasant surroundings. Staff very nice, also; however, must LV staff are nice. The locals are the finest people anywhere. Great video!
Ann Morrison OK this is really valuable feedback - after having spent a week there, you would know far better than we, what’s good and what to avoid. Many thanks for taking the time to add such great details! 🤗
I thought you were going to tell us Dale was under the Influence and stayed home. Good job on the Video. Aria is nice, but I have yet to go see the Cosmo. I will be there the 19th and that is on my agenda.
Smug Smugly LOL 😂 you cracked me up! If you ask him he was on death’s door, but in truth he just has a summer cold! Thank you for the kind words...and we did tour the Cosmo some time back - you will enjoy it, it’s one of our faves.
I went to the Aria in 2016; if coming from the western side of the Strip, the entrance is between T-Mobile Arena (which connects to it from the south) and the Bellagio from the north. Oddly enough, the reason I did NOT explore it in depth was because I was coming to the Aria for lunch (THE Buffet). The Buffet has a two-hour lunch period - I wanted to make the most of it. What would give out first - the timer or my tummy. Amazingly, it was my tummy - I actually ran out of room. That seldom happens.
Christopher Estep This was a fun and informative comment, thank you! I know my tummy runs out of room at buffets, whether I am watching the clock or not lol! Thanks for watching. 😊
@@paulamckenzie - I am a Serious Eater - and ESPECIALLY for lunch; that is WHY I tend to whack buffets. The Buffet at the Aria is easily the most diverse I have seen (or even heard of) anywhere; which is why it was on my target list. It helped that I was staying at NewYorkNewYork - down just below T-Mobile Arena (and therefore a short walk away). I'm conservative (to the point of being CHICKEN), which is why I don't do buffets for breakfast; dinner is when I tend to dress up; therefore, most places I go are either semi-formal or formal. The only time I DIDN'T do formal for dinner was in the same trip; however, that was entirely do to WHEN I arrived at my hotel; late in the evening. Instead, I went to Tom's Urban at NewYorkNewYork - which also has a street entrance at the north corner between NewYorkNewYork and T-Mobile Arena. Their burgers have the "urban" flavor down pat - and their India Pale Ales MUST be tasted to be believed.(It is, in fact, BECAUSE of the IPAs here that I try to avoid a non-IPA anywhere I go to eat these days - luckily for me, I have found some quality IPAs here in the Bureaucrat Belt.) If you ever choose to do non-formal eateries on the Strip, add Tom's Urban to your list.
Christopher Estep We have actually featured Tom’s Urban in our Park MGM and NYNY staycation videos - we love the place! Great to sit at the bar on a warm day, awesome location, terrific fried pickles. 😊
@@paulamckenzie - Didn't know that; I went to Tom's Urban because I got in late, and I was hungry. My two trips to Las Vegas were both to NewYorkNewYork; great rates and solid middle-class rooms (Park Avenue two-bed rooms in Empire and New Yorker towers). If you need four beds or less, but would rather have two connecting rooms, Park Avenue does you right. They are also on specials during my usual travel time - November around Thanksgiving. (Why Thanksgiving? It's between "baking season" (June through October) and convention season (December through March). If you are coming from the Bureaucrat Belt, it's before "freezing season" begins in earnest; therefore airfares are still decent.)
I think I'm going to make this casino my go to resort for my gaming and hotel stay as i will be relocating to Las Vegas for my residence. I noticed that many casinos people don't have the manners or attire and or decorum as this place does.
I stayed at this place in 2017. While the hotel was very nice and enjoyable, the staff was not as pleasant. Suffice to say I will not darken their doorstep again. That notwithstanding, your video was very well produced and entertaining. Thanks for sharing it :)
David Berryman As a Las Vegas resident, your experience is upsetting - we are a tourist town, pure and simple, and we should be sending every visitor home with happy memories. Hope you have had or will have better experiences at other resorts - Wynn, Venetian, and Palazzo won’t disappoint. 😊
@@paulamckenzie I've been coming to Vegas on a regular basis since 1995. I've stayed at a myriad of places and except for the Aria they have all been positive experiences WRT hotel staff and accommodations. I don't judge Vegas on just one bad stay, it can happen anywhere. Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
Interesting place. Have you thought about going back there and see exactly what it is that gives it all the green awards? That might be an interesting video maybe you can get someone to show you around
Mia Hess Yes I agree, that whole topic would make a fascinating video. When I was up in Scott’s room he did show me some of those features, but I didn’t capture that for the vlog. I think we might have to book ourselves a little staycation at Aria so we can fully investigate...right Dale??
Thank you dear sir for the great description. I wish you could mention if the hotel accepts smokers or there are choices of vegetarian food and if it's considerate For some religions and if available places of prayer and of thy Do accept pets If there are places of prayer, for example, as you know, my lord, Las Vegas is no longer a city of sin . I have watched a lot of channels around Las Vegas and I am definitely saying you are the best . Once again accept my comment and thank you very much
Thank you for the kind compliments - we are so glad you like our content. We always put links to the properties in our description box, so you can find answers to questions like yours on their websites. In general Las Vegas is smoke-free except for the casino areas and outdoors. Check online to explore answers to your specific travel and vacation preferences - I am sure they can be met here. Happy travels!
Sadly the aria is a shell of her former self after the pandemic. I was there when she opened and made sure all your in room technology functioned correctly and since we reopened things have just not been great. Replacement parts no longer available, the rooms have been rundown considerably, construction teams on the upper floors destroyed quite a bit, and guest service has suffered. I left the company a little while back for greener pastures. You both got to film right before the property's demise. Good to see her in her former glory, take care! 👍
You guys are such a cute couple I stumbled apon your video looking for my next stay in Vegas I’m leaning towards the aria but I’d like to see vids of the casino. Do they have one?im sure they do, that’s one thing you guys didn’t show. Other than that I like your video.
Kelton Evans Thank you for the kind words, and we are so glad you found our channel. 😊 You will find that we avoid filming the casino itself (machines, table games, sports book) because we have been here a long time and we still follow the old rules about respecting the gambler’s privacy. The security guards will deflect you if you look like you’re pointing your camera in that direction, we know that from experience. That being said, Aria is spectacular so go for it!
Awesome Resort, we enjoyed our 54th floor tower suite room 144 corner with 2 bathrooms and floor to ceiling views. Spent some money with Van Cleef and Gucci and LV.-Tecnocraft Lamborghini
How does Airbnb work in Las Vegas? When I google it, individuals are hosting hotel rooms. Are these individuals timeshare owners or do they make room reservations and then sublet the room they are purchasing?
@@DaleMcKenzie I was in Vegas a couple of days ago and stayed at the Circus Circus. I live in Western Wisconsin and would love to live in Vegas in the winter months.
Thomas Sharp Well the actual Las Vegas Monorail is on the other side of the Strip, behind the hotels on the east side. But...there is a free Tram that runs from Park MGM / Aria to the Crystals shopping mall and then to Bellagio. It’s not in Aria per se, but accessible outside and up on a platform sort of between Aria and Park MGM. Lots of signage to help you find it.
There are guards posted at the pool entrance, and you cannot get past them to the pool area without being a guest at the hotel (which we were not; we were doing a walkthrough but not staying in a room).
You didn't show the women boutique upstairs near the escalator and the mini coffee shop across the hall From it if it's still there The other secured hall for more suites that I will like to see that was on the cover of Vogue magazine With Karl lagerfeld
Edna Mae Brewer We appreciate you watching our video, thank you for that. We have a general guideline that we follow on the resort walkthroughs, keeping them to around 20 minutes. Anything longer I think is too long to try to hold your attention. Retail shops sometimes don’t make the cut, and lots of other features may get skipped as well. The idea is to entice you to come visit and explore for yourself! 😊
Bob Miller I certainly don’t know all the economic ins and outs, but I would say, emphatically, no. The casinos are hugely profitable, and they don’t need to depend on gaming these days. The convention business in Las Vegas is a juggernaut, bigger than anything else. On top of that, shopping is huge and so is dining. Thanks for a thoughtful question, and thanks too for watching.
I love y’all but just looking at that cavernous lobby is not appealing in the least. And with the dragon you called art is another symbol for satan. I’m hardly Bible thumper just a theologian and historian. Hi to Scott. He’s a fortunate young man. Great video but wouldn’t go there like the others I loved. ❤️
